Back-to-back disappointing episodes, possibly set by the high standards of Breaking Bad.
This episode offered a little more to progress the story forward than last week, but it isn’t moving along at the pace you would expect a Vince Gilligan show to move. Jimmy McGill had a good performance, the girl playing the nurse showed promise in her limited air time, yet the show feels like it’s lacking that tension one might expect.
I’m starting to wonder if the show should’ve been based on Mike’s back story. Next week should give us a good feel about the choice they made.
+ Insight into Chuck’s “condition”
+ More of Jimmy’s ‘tactics’ / Dressing up like Matlock to go to a nursing home
+ The potty humor
– Many scenes felt thrown in
– The cops… every episode, the cops display sub-par acting
