A training partner

With the restriction of movement in place, I assumed that keeping fit wasn't going to be a problem. However, I haven't been consistent in the past few weeks. Now I understand why some people opt to have others who keep them in check. Do you usually train alone or with a group?

I prefer to set my regime rather than have someone else determine when I should keep fit. The downside is that inconsistency can set in. I think it depends on one's schedule, and a training partner can help in keeping someone in check.

Without finding motivation, achieving a consistent exercise routine can become a difficult task. Internal motivation comes and goes depending on the specific area of our lives in question. A training partner can help us achieve our goals by keeping us accountable.

For me, it depends on my training partner's availability. We both have a flexible schedule that depends on how busy the other party is. It is good to have a training partner that understands us and is willing to motivate us when the need arises.

A training partner can either be a motivation or distraction, depending on how you look at it. I believe in setting my training schedule and strictly being adherent unless there are unavoidable circumstances. Before seeking out a partner, you have to be accountable to yourself!

With the various restrictions in place, it would be advisable to train alone most of the time. However, training in a group can have a positive effect on each participant, especially when there are similar goals.

It is one of those things I consider subjective because different things work for all of us. Everyone should stick to what works for them, rather than going for what others call popular opinion.
