Which competitive sporting activities are the most/least popular in your area? Is there a favorite team that most people in your community rally behind? American Football is the most popular sport where I'm at, but most people are divided on which team is the best. Hockey is probably the least popular unless you factor in obscure sports like badminton.

Football (soccer) is probably the most popular sport in my area. However, a lot of people around here follow international leagues, especially the English Premier League much more than the local games.

American Football, basketball and soccer are all very popular in my community. I would say baseball not so much. It is interesting how the States are so behind when it comes to soccer. It is a sport that many children and teens play and love, but somehow they grow out of it?

The most often watched team sports with the largest fan base are probably football, rugby union, and rugby league. Cricket and field hockey are fairly popular too.

Sports are a big thing in Wales. I think rugby stands out as the most celebrated sport in Cardiff. I root for the Cardiff Blues and the Wales national rugby union team. Rounders might be the least popular.
