Guest AlexMack
What are your favorite smartphone apps that aren't games? What do you use them for? I love organizational apps personally. It makes me feel like my chaotic life is in order, even when it's not. Evernote is probably a top one for me. I use it for all of my research I hope to use in a novel one day. Guest Luna
As an avid music lover, lyrics are very important to me. Their meaning can make or break a song. That's where Musixmatch comes in. Some translations are inaccurate, but it's enough for me to get the general context. I really hope Genius will be available for all songs in Spotify one day. Guest AmyRichmond
My favourite app is the Guardian newspaper app. It is the first thing I look at in the morning to see what the latest news is. As well as providing updates on current events they do some very thoughtful opinion pieces written by various columnists, and some of the articles are quite entertaining. As well as the more serious side of things, the Guardian provides its fair share of gratuitous frivolity.
headrush 8
The Kindle app, hands down. It saved my sanity on my last few travels when I wasn't into any of the movies. Another is Spot Hero for booking parking spaces.
headrush 8
Just one more: Podbean for podcasts. It's less of a space hog than the iPhone podcast app, but it can get a little slow sometimes.
Guest Cherry-Chan
I love Google Maps, along with Google Earth, Streetview, etc. It is so useful for finding my way around. I also use the SatNav facility, and find it as good as any other SatNav system. These integrated apps definitely stop me from getting lost, and help me to find my way around towns and cities that I do not know that well.
