I'm not sure about Jodie Whittaker as the new Doctor. When that trailer aired I thought it was going to be Kris Marshall.

Having watched Broadchurch, I can't imagine her as the Doctor, but will have to wait and see.

I guess if Pearl Mackie stays on, they can resume the companion/doctor romance will they/won't they tension they always like to do.

Didn't really like Bill. She made everything so PC, and I think it was mentioned about her sexuality about 100 times throughout the series. The series overall lacked suspense and fear for me. It's not the same as it was in 2005-2010.

I don't particularly like the look of the new doctor. Apparently Kris Marshall is going to be the companion - so that could work nicely.

BBC have announced the companions/friends:

When Jodie Whittaker takes over as the Thirteenth Doctor on the global hit show next year, she will be joined by an all new regular cast. BBC announces today that Bradley Walsh, Tosin Cole [played Neil Cooper in Hollyoaks] and Mandip Gill [played Phoebe Jackson in Hollyoaks] will line-up as the new regular cast on Doctor Who.

Bradley will star as Graham, Tosin will play Ryan and Mandip will play Yasmin. Also joining the series in a returning role is Sharon D Clarke.

New head writer and executive producer Chris Chibnall, who made the decision to cast the first ever woman in the iconic role, is also shaking up who will travel with the Doctor in the TARDIS, with a team of new characters.

In more exclusive news, it is confirmed that the new series will be a ten week run of fifty minute episodes in Autumn 2018, kicking off with a feature length hour for the opening launch.

Urm...I'm not sure!

I don't think I'll be able to take Bradley serious in the role. I didn't like it when Catherine Tate joined the show and I feel like it's going to be the same with Bradley.

I'm going to miss Pearl Mackie!
