Kam
Apologies for the downtime today, CultOfWhatever experienced some server load spikes which caused the server to go into meltdown :P I'm still not 100% what caused this and I'm still looking into it with the server hosts. It could potentially happen again over the next few days so please be aware. Thanks to @Omega for flagging this up on our Facebook page :2thumbsup:

Kam
The issue with COW should be fixed as of last night/this morning. Had to make some minor design tweaks but it's loading faster than ever now. If you are still experiencing any slow loading times try to clear your browser cache. @Laffy - the issues with COW would have had a knock on effect on TWO as the sites are on the same server, hopefully things should be fine now. Also, just a heads up I may be changing servers at some point. Just looking at the different packages offered by hosts I can see I can get a much better spec for quite a bit cheaper than I'm on currently. I'll give more details once I've made a decision. Aniel95
I had an issue getting on the site like last week, the page just wasn't loading- I don't know what the issue was but it worked soon after.
Kam
We've had some more downtime, for a different reason: The server has been affected by a bug which appears to hit Dedicated Servers running older Operating System versions. As of yet, we have not determined the ultimate cause for the bug, but it causes a load spike on the server which requires it to be rebooted manually by the Monitoring Department. At present, there are a great number of servers which appear to be hit by this bug, so our Monitoring Department is working through the reboots as they come, but the volume of the servers which require a manual check is slowing down the response time. So it's possible it will happen again over the next week. I am planning on the server move so we can upgrade our spec and operating system but I'm hoping we can hold off until the FWL has finished. We'll see how things go.
Kam
Also, just a heads up I may be changing servers at some point. Just looking at the different packages offered by hosts I can see I can get a much better spec for quite a bit cheaper than I'm on currently. I'll give more details once I've made a decision. We should be changing servers this week, I'll still be with the same hosts but we're moving to a much better server. The new server will have upgraded software on so we may experience some issues when this happens. When we begin the move I'll close the forum so we don't lose any posts, I don't expect the downtime to be too long. Once I have a date/time I'll let you know. Kam
OK, migration was done yesterday, we're on the new server now. We're just on the default settings now, I'll have to optimise them to work best with TWO/COW. If you experience any problems - please reply here and let me know. Over the next week I'll be working on upgrading the forum (haven't done it since the original move) and server optimisation- so we might be offline whilst that is carried out. Once that's finished, the FWL code needs updating and then we'll begin a new season.
