What makes a Giant?

No, he doesnt. He was just fat. He counts as a big man, like Bossman, OMG/Akeem, Vader, Quake, Yoko etc. Giants are (surely!) based on height...I mean, thats what makes you a giant right? Being tall? So in that case, the only guys you can consider giants are Andre, Big Show, Studd, Baba, Gonzales and to a lesser extent Taker, Sid, Nash and so on.

Just watched the new giants dvd on the network I cannot believe they missed bam bam biglow it's not like he main event mania or anything and some of the people on the list have done half at much as him. I was disappointed
He's a Blu-Ray exclusive, along with Earthquake, Kamala and Abdullah (as well as some matches).

I'm not doubting they had plenty of non-Giants on the WWE Giants DVD.
This is the list for the main feature; which would you say weren't giants?

Big Show

Gorilla Monsoon

One Man Gang

Haystacks Calhoun

Giant Gonzales

Big John Studd

Kevin Nash

Ernie Ladd

Mark Henry

King Kong Bundy

Sycho Sid

Vader

Yokozuna

Great Khali

Andre the Giant

EDIT - Thinking about it; with you being as tall as you are, it probably gives you a different perspective.

Well to me, Giant is all about height, so unless you're really tall, you cant be a giant. Being obese shouldn't count. I'm not a giant and I'm taller than a bunch of those guys.

6'10 I'd think. Thats only 6" taller than me and I dont look much bigger than average when I'm in a crowd of people, its not like I stand out as being massively tall I shouldn't imagine. To be a giant, I mean the word itself, giant....to be a giant you surely have to be huge. There are guys under 6'10", like Sid, who could probably scrape through as not only is he close to that, but he is massively muscled on top of his height, so he probably looks massive in person. But even then, I dunno if Sid can be classed as a Giant.

It does seem that the disc has basically combined "big man" and "giant" into one.

I'd consider Hafthór Júlíus Björnsson (yes, I had to copy his name) who plays The Mountain on Game of Thrones as a giant at 6'9", although a lot of that is due to his bulk as well.

I Googled "how tall do you have to be to be considered a giant" and there was a lot of different answers, mostly hovering around the 6'6" to 6'9" range. Although on guy's comment should probably be dismissed.

"don't know about that it is legal but a person above 6 feet can be called a giant.because 6ft is the maximum height a normal person can gain"

Medically, the condition "gigantism" is usually only used to describe people over 7'0 tall, but, according to Wikipedia, it can also mean anyone in the tallest 1% of their nationality, gender or race. In America, taking race out of the equation, that would mean, roughly, over 6'5 for a man, and over 6'0 for a woman.

Man, another inch (in height...) and I'd be an official giant. I feel slighted.

Just looked it up, and, congratulations, in Britain, you are a giant. 6'4, in Britain, puts you in the tallest 1% for men over the age of 20. British people are very slightly shorter than Americans due to the effects of Communism, so a British giant is a man 6'4 and over or a woman 5'10 and over.

Yeah I play basketball and on my team alone I'm the 4th tallest and in the league in general there are some legit massive blokes. Theres an Irish bloke who is 7'2" and shitloads of guys I see every Monday who are 6'8" and up. So I generally feel kinda short, until I go in town, then I feel like a lanky freak.
