Conte has just resigned as Juventus manager, that just came out of the blue. I can only think that they're planning on selling their best players without his permission.

Every team in the Premier League who just got a new manager must be pissed.

Hope it's the "selling everyone" reason, for Paul Pogba's sake.

The thing is he is saying he is leaving becauses its harder to win something with Juventus this year, well to me he can't be that good a manager then, a successful manager has to deal with people moving on and rebuild the squad if they do sell Pogba and Vidal then he will get a lot of money from thoses transfers likely 60m+, buy more players build a different team,

European League Fotoball 2014/15

A thread for all things La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1 and of course for Hancock, the Eredivisie.

I love the Bundesliga, it's usually my second favourite league behind the Premier League just because I'm not really a big fan of Spanish football despite being a Real Madrid fan. But this year we could be treated to something really special in Spain. Neymar, Messi and Suarez up front for Barcelona, Bale Ronaldo, and potentially James Rodriguez at Real Madrid, backed up World Cup winner Toni Kroos. If that doesn't wet your appetite I'm not sure what will.

Sadly for the reigning champions Atletico, I just can't see them replicating the season they had last year. Their squad has been pilfered of many of its top names, and despite the odd decent signing ( they've brought in Mario Mandzukic who I think is a top signing), surely, surely they can't compete with those outrageously good teams the big two have put together.

As for the Bundesliga and Ligue 1, hard to see past more of the same. Bayern have signed one of the top forwards on the planet in Robert Lewendowski, and PSG's squad is just a different class from the rest of France, even if they have just signed David Luiz :lol

Monaco might have put together a challenge, but they're probably gonna lose their key assets of Rodriguez and maybe Falcao, so you wouldn't have thought so.

Serie A I admit to watching little of, it's pretty dull, but Juventus will be tough to beat, even if they do lose their key men in Vidal and Pogba. The Milan clubs just aren't the force of old and it has become a pretty poor league in all honesty.

Finally, the Eredivise. Hancock will know more than me on that league, but can we expect another Ajax title?

I love the Bundesliga too watch it every week on ITV 4, i actually perfer it to the prem as there are many fewer dull games like west ham vs west brom etc and there are normally alot of goals

I like WBA. They're a good guy team, just going about business and trying their best with what they've got. So I want them to do well. But they upset me dearly with the Shane Long sale for what appeared to be no reason and then totally failing to replace him. I'm a huge Shane Long fan, you don't go about selling Shaney! :lol

I don't know an awful lot about the new striker, but (purely based on nothing but guessing), I have a hunch he might end up being a big money flop, a bit like how I feel about that Valencia that West Ham have just signed for a shedload of cash. They both just have the air of big money foreigners signed on reputation made in a smaller league that won't be able to handle the jump up in class. Hope I'm wrong in you guys' case, but I'd love the West Ham boy to flop because f*ck West Ham.

I felt the same about West Brom, they were the loveable giant killers, and I LOVED the "Manager Killer" streak. They sort of ruined it with the pointless manager firings and the anti-Semitic strikers though. Yeah West Brom, Anekla was only anti-Semitic when he played for you, it was on your watch.

Concerning European football, the new Sky Sport 5 do you have to activate it online first?

The Spanish sporting press in general is f*cking hideous. It's like the English everything-else press.

Xavi has announced his retirement from international football. He was Spain's most capped outfield player. It's going to be strange seeing a Spain team without him in the middle of it.

The MLS All-Star team is currently beating Bayern Munich with less than twenty minutes left in the game.
