My dad is currently on holiday so I get to skip it this year :P

We'll be off to see the new X-Men movie today, along with dinner, and then we're going to see Germany vs Portugal at a German restaurant/bar for dinner tomorrow.

 

My Dad's not at all into fancy days out, so my main thing is the present; cufflinks made out of reclaimed wood from the bleachers of the original Yankee Stadium.

My dad is a total arsehole, so I skip it every year.

 

As for my day; Josh was away camping with Beavers last night and is due back about 4.30pm today, so we're going to watch Spain v Netherlands and NXT together.

My dad is a longtime dead and I don't have kids yet, so I mostly reflect on how lucky I was to have him. The world would have been a better place if I had died in his place because he was a genuine good guy and the world has so few of them. I only wish I was more like him, personality wise, but unfortunately I inherited his father's personality.... aka I'm mostly an asshole. Unreal temper...for no reason.

Took Shawn to the last rugby match of his season, driven by my Dad. Bought him some bottles of Bill McLaren beer on the way home :D

Got my dad a card but didn't see him as he was out when I was in.

 

Had a phone call from my daughter as I've been away in Nottingham for the weekend having a bit of a break away from life and work.

Looks like a regular kids card no doubt but my son is autistic, we were told he'd never talk, read, write whatever....to see what he is starting to do right now at 5 years old, its awesome man.
