Guest John Hancock
I've somehow gone from not giving a shit, to being really happy about this. Either fandom or spite are very powerful emotions. I can't tell which one.

Guest dpddave
He outgrew Arsenal "Firstly I would like to thank everyone at FC Barcelona where I enjoyed three wonderful years,” said Fabregas. “It was my childhood club and I will always be proud and honoured that I had a chance to play for such a great team. “I do feel that I have unfinished business in the Premier League and now is the right time for my return. “Yes, everyone knows that Arsenal had the first option to sign me. They decided not to take up this option and therefore it wasn't meant to be. I wish them well in the future. “I considered all the other offers very carefully and I firmly believe that Chelsea is the best choice. They match my footballing ambitions with their hunger and desire to win trophies. “They have an amazing squad of players and an incredible manager. I am fully committed to this team and I can't wait to start playing. “It was extremely important to me that this transfer was completed before the World Cup so that my mind will only be focussed on hopefully helping my country try to retain the trophy." In all seriousness though, wtf Arsenal. How can they just let him join Chelsea like that. Edited June 12, 2014 by dpddave

Guest Boyo
Summer Transfer Window 2014 So is Ryan out of pocket now? Got to say I'm gutted about this, but if we've turned him down then I can't be mad at Cesc at all. I'm sure he would have resigned for us if we had wanted him. I'm not going to go over old ground but I just don't understand not wanting him back. We've got a really good midfield, but he would have improved it still. I can only think that Wenger's either got something on Cesc (the same reason Barca let him go) or thinks he has already got or will buy someone better. The only person at the club who "could be like a new signing" (aka, not Rambo, Wilshere, Ozil) would be Gedion Zelalem. And by Christ if he's turned down Cesc because Zelalem's ready then I'm equally excited and petrified. Other than that, he's either going to start playing Oxlade centrally, or he thinks Diaby won't suffer another injury setback. Not mad at Cesc though, not at all :). Cheers! Guest John Hancock
Fabregas is dead to me. Why's it his fault? Chelsea wanted to buy him, Barcelona wanted to sell him, Arsenal weren't interested. There's not much he could have done.
Guest bigmatt
I can only think that Wenger's either got something on Cesc (the same reason Barca let him go). Dave saw it too, let's not forget. That's the difference between people like us and Dave and Arsene. People in the business get an eye for these things. Good catch on Cesc, Dave. Your u12 work is really paying off. Well done, sir. Guest dpddave
Yep dpddave was entirely right :good222: The gaffer says he's never seen anyone take to coaching so flawlessly. Just yesterday I organized a game against the local Polish and African kids so our chaps could get a taste of what it's like playing a big Champions League game. Guest Boyo
Summer Transfer Window 2014 Cesc? I can't see that from him personally. Maybe Luis Enrique just doesn't rate him? That's fair enough, everyone can be stupidly wrong sometimes, but for Wenger to turn him down as well is either something equally stupid, or Dave's right all along. Cheers! Guest bigmatt
Why wasn't LVG interested?
Guest Jayfunk
Good question. I am disappointed that we haven't signed anyone yet. I know LVG is at the World Cup but still it is the same as last year. Our chairman should be sacked. Saying that, Cesc is clearly their Lampard replacement, but the question is, is he past his prime? Ryan 188
I just don't get it, from Arsenals stand point YET AGAIN we have done absolutely f*ck all to stop a rival strengthening their team when WE could have strengthened ours with the same player, it makes no f*cking sense. I love Arsenal and I always will but sometimes I wonder why, sometimes it is by far the stupidest most irritating team to support and times like this when we lay down and let Chelsea take a piss on us it's embarrassing, I'm embarrassed to be an Arsenal fan at the moment and I bet Mourinho f*cking loves it. Ryan 188
I know what's going to happen, we won't sign a single damn player until deadline day when we bring in Joe Bloggs from Ligue 2 who's suppose to be an awesome goalscorer (Giroud and Chamakh being shinning examples) we'll get spanked on the opening day and we'll get spanked again by Chelsea. I feel like I've been living Groundhog Day for the passed 10 years with Arsenal and quite frankly I'm f*cking bored.
Guest Laffy
Ryan I no longer get my hopes up that we are going to sign anyone that way the disappointment is not too bad. Arsene seems to know what he is doing with the main squad but fails to understand we needs strikers for when Walcott and others get injured or tired. We just see to be happy finishing fourth which despite what Arsene says is not like a trophy and never will be. It's great to be in the champions league but i want to win the league as well. Arsene has said though he is not going to sign anyone until after the world cup.
Guest Ciaran The King
Really pleased Cesc is back in the PL and luckily he wants to win trophies so he avoided Arsenal
Guest Boyo
I stand to be corrected, but Wenger said nothing of the sort? (not signing anyone until after the World Cup). He is quoted saying he wants to do business early, and ideally in June, but it is of course a very difficult time to do any deals (not that it stopped Chelsea :)). I will wait to see what happens before I start cussing Wenger out for turning down Fabregas. Sure, it could turn out to be one of the most idiotic things he's ever done, but it could also suggest he's spent his budget already on other players. Giroud has categorically stated that we ARE signing a striker, that was two days ago, maybe three. Arseblog is "joking with seriousness" that Mario Balotelli is signing for us - like it's the worst kept secret ever, and he's also mentioned a few times that the links with Javi Bayern (Martinez? I always forget which one he is :lol) are genuine and strong. But don't also forget that we have more pressing issues than signing Cesc, as brilliant as he is. We've lost Sagna and only have Jenkies and Bellerin, both of whom could do with a loan spell. We've lost Mannone, Fabianski and Viviano this summer, and only have Damien Martinez as back up. I bet Thomas Vermaelen will be off this summer given half a chance and a decent World Cup, so he'll need replacing. On top of that the "left fwingard" links like Draxler, Bernard, Vela are very strong and a big money striker is nailed on. Perhaps we turned him down because we just can't afford him? :( Cheers! Ryan 188
Really pleased Cesc is back in the PL and luckily he wants to win trophies so he avoided Arsenal We've just won the FA Cup and you support Tottenham you pleb. And we rejected him, not the other way around. Football really isn't for you Ciaran, I suggest another sport. Ryan 188
Robin Van Persie William Gallas Kolo Toure Gael Clichy Emmanuel Adebayor Bacary Sagna Cesc Fabregas Samir Nasri Ashley Cole All of the above former Arsenal players are all dead to me. They say once a Gooner always a Gooner, well that doesn't apply to them.
