I've been thinking about this recently, and i wanted to ask you guys, in your opinion, what are some of the best wrestling promos?

 

Now there is a hell of a lot to choose from, but in my opinion, one of the best has to be Paul Heyman's promo at ECW one night stand 2005, where he gets the crowd unbelievably amped and even lays into the Smackdown & Raw guys.

Jumping Jeff Farmer shouldn't be allowed into this because its obvious his promo is untouchable, its not fair on anybody else to have to compete with YIP!

Shoot promos are entertaining but I'm not sure they can be considered great promos. No matter how well they're delivered, the content is too cheap and promos like that don't sell tickets or PPVs.

 

I'd go for Hogan's after his heel turn. Actually, Hogan for a while after his heel turn was a brilliant promo and you can probably take your pick from those.

I always have a fondness for Flairs Abuse of Power promo on Eric B. In WcW. I just remember the emotion & the feeling of watching it live on TV.

Hogan from 1986 - 1987 was my favourite, he was so f*cking perfect on the mic over those 2 years. Unbelievable, I've never seen anybody better, ever.

Paul Heyman on RAW the night after WrestleMania 30. He put Brock Lesnar over so well as to why the streak was conquered and attacked the stupid "What" chant!!

He's good but best ever...nah. Wrestling has a looooooong history and many amazing promos. Wyatt isn't even close to them. When you are in an era of being overly scripted and 'produced' then your chances of being as good as the best is slim for me.

Everything is scripted now. They scripted the Rock when he came back, if he is getting scripted Bray Wyatt certainly is.
