You bumpkins, there's more than one great restaurant in London.

(It is very good though, easily the best American food in the Oxford Street area, and a solid member of London's top ten, possibly top five America-style places)

I'll give you that it's probably number one for that. They also have the best onion rings in London, that's not even opinion, they are factually the best. One of the best interiors too.

For that sort of burger-joint-y food, I'd put it in the same category as Bar Boulud, Shakeshack, Five Guys, Dirtyburger and Byron. Honest Burger can be good, but you have to go to the right one, the Brixton one, and no one wants to go to Brixton, so they sort of eliminate themselves from the conversation.

Glasgow is fast becoming burger central, there's St Vincent Street that's getting a Five Guys soon - that would be the 6th burger joint within 500 yards when it opens...

The only other burger place I've been to is Gourmet Burger Kitchen just off of Earl's Court. That was top quality burger. The fries were shit though.

I think GBK are in the running just for the bizarre offer of all-you-can-eat monkey nuts. Anywhere that offers free unlimited monkey nuts and free absolutely nothing else is on to something. They also have a good lime milkshake, which is a rare treat, because most lime milkshakes are ghastly.

Five Guys gets points for serving it's fries in soda cups, and for having those weird, computerised soda machines, where it's like a thousand flavours and you can mix them all up. In the great East Coast Burger Wars of 2012, I think Shake Shack JUST edges it out on food quality though, despite Shake Shack beer being dreadful. Those are the two kings of the American east coast though, Five Guys and Shake Shack.

Wannaburger in Edinburgh have the best cajun fries in the country, served in a cup, and they also have ice tea, so you can pretend to be a member of Duck Dynasty too

The girl I'm seeing down that way gets bonus points for having Five Guys and Chipotle on the next street to her.

Five Guys came to Manchester a few weeks back and has a restaurant opening in Birmingham soonish. Personally i think they could struggle outside London. The Burger fries and drink that I had on Sunday evening came to £15 you can get away with that in the capital outside I'm not so sure.

Yo, I'm happy for you guys, and I'ma let you finish, but Tom's of Coney Island has the best burgers of all time...THE BEST BURGERS OF ALL TIME!

Coney Island, you're just not playing if it's not Nathan's. The Nathan's in Coney Island is absolutely ridiculous, if you've ever had anything in a fast food joint, they've got it, and they've got it served by giant, sassy black women. Paul's Daughter and Ruby's are great on Coney Island too, although, to be fair, I haven't actually been to Tom's, or really heard of it, so I can't judge.

Down here in Plymouth Captain Jaspers is probably the one that is the most famous in this area, its kinda greasy though, although the burgers and whatever else they make are pretty big. Its situated on the historic Barbican so it gets loads of custom from fat Americans who are over taking pictures of themselves on the Mayflower steps, they love a big greasy burger after all that picture taking.

No offence fat American friends.

There's naff all burger joints of any repute in Swindon, although my old school friend Travis has opened his own BBQ place called Smoo's Smokehouse which does, amongst a limited but tasty menu, pretty great burgers.

When I lived in Tempe AZ there was a place called In-N-Out Burger which was extremely popular. I liked it but didn't see what the hype was about. There was also a Fatburger, which I thought was flippin' amazing, but the overall best was What-A-Burger. The best meat in a bun ever put in to this mouth.

Cheers!

In-N-Out vs. Fatburger is basically to the south-west what Shake Shack vs. Five Guys is to the north-east, although Fatburger is moving east, and it's probably going to become Shake Shack vs. Fatburger, which is effectively just a race war in demographic terms. It's like when you go to the south-east, and they have a Wendy's and a Chick-Fill-A sharing the same building and it's like segregation never ended.

Whenever I'm in London, I love to get myself a burger from Byron, prefferably the one on Charing Cross Rd, but if not any of them will do!

There's a Bryon Burger on the same street as Stamford Bridge and, on match days, they have a sign up that fans in opposing team colours are banned. Hooray for Bryon Burger.

I've heard that Byron is a good burger, and I saw one not too far from Earls Court. Next time I go to London I think I'll have to pay a visit. I know there's one down Haymarket, but think that one will be hyper-busy, so might try to find a quieter one.

Cheers!

Whataburger is amazing. In and Out is okay. Red Robin is good. In Colorado nothing can beat the old Conway's Red Top. Burgers the size of your head. Unless you have a giant head then they're still at least as big as the plates they come on. There was one in Pueblo for the longest time but they've closed a few years ago. There's still on in 'Springs at least. Goddamn Colorado Springs has all the good stuff.

We have a new(ish) burger place called Bingo Burger which is the new king.
