WWE: Who deserves the biggest push in 2014?

If you like WWE Memes on Facebook then you will have probably seen the same post I have done, but i'll outline it for all those who don't know:

Brock Lesnar has had 7 matches in 10 years, and he returns to break the Undertaker's undefeated streak at Wrestlemania.

The Rock has had 5 matches in 10 years, and returned to break CM Punk's 434 day reign as WWE Champion.

Batista made his second appearance in almost 4 years at the Royal Rumble, and came in and won it.

And people like Damian Sandow, Dolph Ziggler and Zack Ryder, who are ready for every single show, have made themselves the name of being the funniest guys in the WWE.

So from this, my questions for you are: What do Lesnar, Rock and Bootista have that Sandow, Ziggler and Ryder don't? And who out of the three, in your opinion, deserves the biggest push in 2014?

Name recognition, time served and a credible legacy are the first three qualities that spring to mind.

Unfortunately, all three of the younger guys you mentioned have had their metaphorical wings clipped by WWE after a seemingly positive push by the promotion.

Zack Ryder is too far gone now, but Ziggler and Sandow could be saved if WWE begin to treat them as more than afterthoughts (although it does seem Sandow is in line for something if the way his last promo on RAW went).

I'd love to see more of Sandow and i really hope they do something with this new developing storyline, as i think he makes a great heel.

I also like how Paul Heyman has a history of bringing his clients to the top so it gives them a novel way of putting new heels over, so maybe they need to do more stuff like that with maybe a distinguished hall of famer coming back to manage?

I'm one of the biggest Dolph marks around, so obviously I say him, but I'm at the stage where I really don't think it's gonna happen for him now. They had their chance to pull the trigger after his concussion last year and for whatever reason, be it his big mouth or them not thinking much of him, they chose not to do so and relegated him back to jobber.

So as gutting as it is for me, I've began to accept that it probably isn't going to happen for Dolph now. If it was going to, I think it would have happened by now. He's got the look and the in ring ability, but I also think he's incredibly underrated on the mic and he deserves more of a chance to talk to show what he can do.

sandow, ziggler and barrett. unfortunely in wwe it does not matter how good your overall package is. still can't believe that jake roberts, rick rude and roddy piper didnt get a run with the title. after all its the heels that draw the money at the ppvs.

Not a every great act can be World Champion, talented as someone is they sometimes just don't cut it as World Heavyweight Champion

As great as Ziggler seems to be, i have read on several sources that he is recklessly bumping to hard, so the fear is, that he will injure himself.

Zack who? Sorry, i never saw that much potential in him. Not as a main evener

So of the three mentioned, the only one i can see there would be Sandow (more in a mid card-title. but that is more than can be said of many wrestlers)

I like Wade Barrett to keep his momentum, and hope that Paige keeps up hers for some time (at least longer than just the next PPV)

Paige will surely keep the title until AJ comes back, and they can do that feud. That will probably be a couple of months I think according to reports, and that's as long as Phil doesn't persuade her to just stay on his couch and eat cheesie puffs.

So there should be a good 2/3 months of Paige holding the strap, at the very least.

Not so sure with the possible Alicia Fox push. Except if the have that push over at NXT.

Btw, who i would love to see pushed, because he has been a worse jobber than Curt Hawkins - Yoshi Tatsu!

If Paige defends the title at Payback she has to come out looking strong, WWE have done a crap job so far of making her look competitive

I would hazard a guess that they are just giving Alicia a bit of build so that Paige has someone credible to go over at the next PPV until AJ comes back. She needs to go against someone, and Alicia appears to have drawn the biggest straw. That's how they decide those things in the Divas division right?!

Alicia is a pretty decent little heel, but she's been messed around with/had her allignment changed more times than Kane and Big Show put together/jobbed out, that they had to give her at least a modicum of build before feeding her to Paige on Pay Per View. That's the way I'm seeing it anyway, hopefully I'm right as I want to see Paige/AJ for the strap.

The longer the diva's division goes on, the less I care. I still think they should drop the singles title and go 70's old school with just tag team champs. You have a team of heel champions and their babyface rivals.BAMN! You're already using 4 girls that would otherwise be doing nothing. A few more teams and everyone's actually working for their money.

Not to harp on about, but since watching Total Divas, I've actually enjoyed the division more, because I know more about the woman competing in it and can become invested in their matches in a way that wasn't possible before because they get no time to develop a character. Before I had pretty much zero interest or knowledge in the Bella's. But now I really like Brie and a lot of the stuff she does/says, so I'm interested in her matches and want to see her do well. I've probably watched more Divas matches in 2014 than I have in the last ten years combined.

I want to see Tatsu main event! I think everyone does by the chants at the battle royal on NXT a couple of weeks ago
