It also doesn't hurt that a lot of those reboots have been good to great. Bond, Dredd, Spidey, Supes and the Nolan Batman movies are all reboots of franchises who last movies before the reboot were, in that order, indifferent, good(ish), overblown, shite and terrible.

NO WAY IS THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENING! Godzilla face turn! I'm so, so happy!

 

EDIT: I already watched it five times. I think this is probably the highlight of my entire life. LET THEM FIGHT.

I saw the Asian trailer on Dr Michio Kaku's facebook a few days ago.

So looking at a Godzilla wiki it seems like

the other monster is Rodan.

I've watched the trailer at least ten times now. I haven't been this excited off the back of a trailer since the Evil Dead remake.

 

EDIT: I saw at least three monsters in there by the way. Godzilla, faux-Rodan/Mothra, and something that looks like a mix between Kumonga and that stupid lobster dude who's name I forgot.

I'm not sure if you're being serious or not, but if it's the former, how could you think the flying MUTO (Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organism, in case you were wondering where the name came from) was meant to be Godzilla? Edited by DC

My confusion over how he could think it was Godzilla stems from the fact the flying MUTO is -:

 

a) Flying

b) Flying with wings outstretched

c) Flying towards Godzilla

If the question was meant to be a joke, it wasn't a very good one. If it was meant to be a serious question, then I have to wonder who Ciaran thought the big monster standing in the way of the flying one is.
