Guest Inno
I have someone on my Twitter feed who is a normal, sane, decent, funny person. Unless someone says something against the "Yes" movement, then the gloves come off and the loony comes home to roost. Scary stuff, man... scary stuff. Guest John Hancock
"Yes" is pro-independence right?
Guest Magic
Yeah. I'll be voting no, but if for some reason I wouldn't be able to vote, I wouldn't lose any sleep. It's strange because its something that will effect the nation for the rest of my life, but I'm finding it really hard to give any f*cks about the entire thing. The Fury 65
yeah i will be voting no too. I had a yes leaflet came through the letter box, wanted to set it on fire :lol but what pisses me off is both frigging campaigns and their polls claiming oh we're so better please come vote us. There's no real willingness to work toghether to actually formulate if we're ready for it (which i don't think we are) or whether we should wait a little longer to get the economy growing and the towns/cities blooming. Omega 354
I've a mate who' part of the local politics scene and we were talking about this and one of the biggest ramification from a split is that both Britain and Scotland would almost certainly lose out seat on the UN security council due to the drastic size cut in population. Both nations would be screwed then because we get sooooo much leeway internationally due to factors like this. We'd lose The Falklands and Gibraltar probably instantly. Guest Ruderz
It pisses me off that people can't see past the immediate party and week long binge drinking that would follow becoming independent to see that in the long run it would be detrimental. The worst is people claim you are not a true Scot if you don't vote yes, which is bull. I was talking to some people from England the other day and they said that they thought Scotland wanted to be independent because they thought all Scots hate English people. Just goes to show how well the arguments for an Independent Scotland have been put forward.
