King
Okay guys I was trying to merge the posts into a new thread and I kinda deleted them by mistake :lol, so going on from the conversation in the WWE2K thread what do ye think is the best Wrestling game ever? Any love for WCW Vs The World on the PS1?
DC
I enjoyed WCW v The World, but it's easy to see the evolution through that, WCW/nWo Revenge and on to WrestleMania 2000 (still the best career mode) and No Mercy. I think No Mercy was the best for doing moves onto weapons (especially sweet when the bell would ding after DDT'ing or piledriving someone on to it), while Here Comes the Pain had the best actual chairshots in a WWE game. The stock answer is always going to be No Mercy for most people, but as Beltmark said in a previous thread, it's like playing in slow-motion now. I guess I'd say WWE '13 when playing Attitude Mode is the best wrestling game, although I have a feeling WWE 2K14's 30 Years of WrestleMania could top it. On a side note, Legends of WrestleMania doesn't get enough credit and the first Legends of Wrestling had the best "name your CAW" section as you could literally pick from thousands upon thousands of combinations and have the announcer announce you as that name. The WWE games really need a total overhaul on the names you can give your CAWs when it comes to the announcing them during the entrance and when the commentators refer to them during a match. King
Is it wrong that I could never really see the love for No Mercy?, oh and what do we all think of Fire Pro? Edited August 24, 2013 by King
Ciaran The King
I liked the first two SD games on PS1
DC
Fire Pro is a game I couldn't get into, but I can see the appeal for others. To me, it was more a game for the really talented CAW creators (as well as the rings, etc) to show their work.
King
Yeah it was definitely more of a simulation game, The Royal Rumble arcade game was awesome.
The Beltster
Fire Pro was good if you downloaded and installed all the WWF and WCW mods people had made.

Chris2K
Sorry, I'm a No Mercy fanatic. The amount of replay value that the main mode had puts it head and shoulders above everything else, even the latest games. I can't believe that no other game has opted for that approach. Chris2K
I'm going to be controversial and throw EWR/TEW into the mix...
ViciousPrism
I'm going to be controversial and throw EWR/TEW into the mix... MAybe EWR moreso than TEW. TEW is waaaaaaaaaaaay too in-depth to be fun to the mainstream. EWR was just right.
The Icon
I'm going to be controversial and throw EWR/TEW into the mix... Both good. EWR is more fun debatable but I think So.
Maxximus
WCW vs the World, WrestleMania 2000 and No Mercy get my votes. Of course I haven't played any modern wrestling games with the exception of that one wwe game on the Game Cube whatever it was called. The first one I remember where you could customize your entrance. That one was okay.
Ciaran The King
WCW vs World was good, I miss those times
DC
WrestleMania 2000 had a great season mode simply because if you played through it with a CAW and then continued a new season with a different CAW, the first one would still stay on the roster. Over time, you could play season mode with a completely different roster and have a semi-unique version to everyone else.
Horowitz
Firepro with roster mods is still awesome. Also wcw vs nwo was great.
