RANDY ORTON ATTACKED BY FAN IN THE RING IN SOUTH AFRICA

- Randy Orton was attacked by a crazy fan in Cape Town, South Africa yesterday after his match against Big E. Langston finished and Orton was celebrating. The incident occurred as Orton was celebrating in the corner, doing his usual pose and while the lights were dimmed, a fan jumped in the ring, waited a bit, and then low-blowed the Money in the Bank winner from behind. Orton fell down and security jumped in the ring to grab the assailant. It took a while for security to pop in and probably the dimmed lights didn¹t help. While the fan was down, Orton helped his eviction from the ring by kicking him in the head. The former champion then continued to celebrate in the ring as Big E. Langston also tried to get his hands on the fan at ringside however security pushed him back. The fan was arrested as is being held in jail pending criminal charges.

From what I've "heard" the guy's a plant. He's a local Pro Wrestler who goes by the name The Blacksmith or something. Story goes he was seen taking pics with some local fans when the fans saw security open an avenue for him to make the worked attack.

What would be the point of that spot though? It looked too rough to be rehearsed.

It was a work.

From Jaco Breytenbach: I was at the Cape Town event last night. The incident with the fan and Randy Orton may be a work. The "fan" is a local wrestler called Blacksmith. He trains regularly (4- 5 days a week) at the gym where I am a manager. Adding fuel to the matter is that some people who were in attendance claim that the event security opened up a gap towards the finish of the Orton/Langston match where the "fan"/Blacksmith was able to enter the ring.

From M. Huntley: The guy who 'attacked' Randy Orton during last night's event at the Gran West Arena was local South African wrestler The Blacksmith. Many fans in the arena found the whole incident strange and suspicious as he was posing for photos before the show with fans who recognized him. He was sitting 5 or 6 rows in front of my friends and I. He entered the ring when the event crew backed-off from the security spots giving him the window to proceed into the ring. Everyone on the bus home was suspicious about the whole thing, a few people reckon its a WWE publicity stunt to sell tickets or to take away attention from TNA's August1 videos given the fact that people would be watching footage of Orton's so-called attack.

From Daniel Hayward: I attended this infamous WWE event last night. People were posing for photos with the guy who attacked Randy Orton last night. The attacker is a domestic wrestler called The Black Smith. The general feeling in South Africa is that this whole thing is a PR stunt and not a legitimate incident as that of the Pieter van Zyl, the fan who attacked a referee in an international rugby match between South Africa and New Zealand back in 2002 which was a legitimate occurrence. Sorry to burst the bubble, but this thing was planned. The Black Smith was a plant. No Steve Bartman incident here.

From struddersjnr: Hi, I live in South Africa, the guy who confronted Randy Orton at last night's WWE event was a local wrester. Fully trained to make the whole incident look as shocking and as real as possible. It was reported on local radio stations that the whole thing is not real and was staged. Reports are that it was either current NXT star Leo Kruger or BlackSmith. Both have connections to Justin Gabriel as all three men wrestled in a local Cape Town promotion.

ok first off, its not racist. I know we love to jump to the racist shit if people say anything these days, but its not racist, I'm not racist, I think its blatantly obvious I'm not racist so lets leave that silly shit alone.

I used to work with a woman from South Africa called Terri and she would tell us all sorts of crazy stuff that would happen over there She said you had to make sure you'd stay on main roads and not get off the beaten path because you'd get hijacked by the black people who were treated like shit over there, and they'd have no problems cutting off fingers to take rings and shit.

She said they had literally turned feral in certain places and were so poor and hungry that they were like animals and were just beyond vicious if they ran you off the road. They didnt care if it was men, women or children. They'd f*ck you up regardless. Its brutal. We moan over here in England but Christ, we have it so easy its not even funny.

FAN WHO ATTACKED ORTON PLEADS GUILTY

- Tshepo Sekhabi, the 20 year old fan who attacked Randy Orton during the WWE stop in Cape Town, South Africa earlier this week, pleaded guilty in court. Sekhabi was charged and ordered to either pay a fine of 500 Rand or serve 30 days in jail for his actions. 500 Rand is approximately around $51. He was also given a 3 year suspended sentence and was banned from the remaining WWE events in South Africa. When the incident happened Sekhabi was evicted from his hotel room and was given another 5 year ban from the Grand West Casino where the show was held.

If they'd beat the guy up and he didn't end up paying a fine, then I'd say it was just to warn people off trying to get into the ring, but as it stands it looks like an indie who's gone into business for himself thinking he can make a name for himself by doing something ridiculous.

If that is the case then Randy should've levelled him.
