Jimmy Redman
So now that we know the main direction they're going, how amazing is Summerslam shaping up to be? Cena vs Bryan Punk vs Brock Shield vs Henry/Usos (hoping and praying for this) Sandow vs Cody Dolph vs Big E's Bosom? Plus whatever the hell RVD, Jericho, Alberto, Sheamus, etc. are doing. But the top two matches are absolute money.
Jamster26
I agree, that cards looks great. I've been enjoying WWE a hell of a lot recently.
dsrchris
Man, I'm hyped, but I'm also totally bummed out in advance about how depressed I'll be when Cena beats Bryan... :lol
Jimmy Redman
Which would be worse: Cena winning, or Bryan winning and Orton cashing in?
Maxximus
Orton's cash in would be bad but it would cement him as a huge heel and that's something a lot of us have been hoping for. Cena's 435 day title reign would be the worst thing. Callin' it now. :lol
dsrchris
That's a helluva question Jimmy. I'd be p*ssed if Bryan won and Orton cashed in, but I'd be totally okay with Cena winning if it ended with Orton cashing in on Cena. I'd be super p*ssed if Cena has a 435 day reign. SUPER. P*SSED. dsrchris
I'd love it if it did happen, but I'm just not seeing it. Damnit.
ViciousPrism
Bryan beats Cena, Orton cashes in, loses. Wouldn't that be MARVELOUS?
Jimmy Redman
That is basically my best case scenario at this point. But it doesn't seem all that likely.
Jamster26
You actually want Cena to lose?
Jimmy Redman
Lose the WWE Title to Bryan? Yes of course I do. ' The vast majority of the time I'm not in the 'blind mark' state of mind with Cena where I can't bear to see him lose regardless of the circumstances. I feel that way about other guys far more, for instance, Mark Henry. I knew he wouldn't win at MITB and I still felt sad when he lost because I want him to be WWE Champion as a fan. Off the top of my head the only time I have felt that about Cena in recent memory was when he lost to Rock at Mania 28. It's pretty hard to care too much about Cena losing from a mark perspective when he wins most all the time. With Cena it is more that...I don't mind if he wins, if that makes sense. Other people do. Those times that make boys on the internet go all "ARGHCENA~!", I either don't care, I laugh, or I enjoyed him winning. He's a guy that I can enjoy watching him win. And this is all completely separate from the fact that I enjoy watching him wrestle and am a fan of his work. So anyway, I'm rambling, but point is, as of this moment, Daniel Bryan SHOULD beat Cena for the title. He really should. And I really want him to. BrennenYo
I have high hopes for Cena vs Bryan. Im sure the outcome will suck either way, but as long as they have a nice awesome long match i'll be happy.
Maxximus
Orton was hurt on Smackdown and it's a spinal injury. He could be shelved for awhile. Maybe making a return cash in sometime down the road but I doubt it'll be at Summerslam. This is what's gonna happen. Cena goes over Bryan at Summerslam. Bryan wins The Rumble leading to Cena/Bryan at Mania 30. Cena shows Rocky how it's done by giving Bryan the rub at Mania but still going over Bryan. Daniel Bryan beats Cena on Raw the next night making Bryan a legit main eventer for a long time to come. Orton comes out after being gone rehabing for months. Cashes in on Bryan and wins leading on to a feud with Orton that Bryan eventually wins, then has his title run. It's always better when a babyface is chasing the big title and imagine a fired up Bryan like never before feuding with a returned and refreshed heel Orton. Shut up and take my money. Wrestling mutherf*ckin' GENIUS!

According to this tweet from Jericho, he will probably not be seen in the WWE until 2014: So long to @WWE for now…2013 was one of my favorite in ring yrs ever! TPIB
Well, I'm glad he enjoyed his 2013 run. That match with RVD on RAW was, by far, the best thing he has done this time around.
Maxximus
His feud with Punk and their match at Payback was good too.
Jimmy Redman
I've said my piece on Payback. And the feud was with Heyman, technically. Literally cannot think of anything else particularly interesting he did this time around. The best match that he was in was the Shield match from February, which had little to do with him. He had a couple of good TV matches I guess, but I mean, so has The Miz. I also think he got less out of Ryback than almost every opponent of his so far (Punk, Cena, Bryan, Cesaro, etc.). I just think I'm at the point where I'm not buying what he is selling anymore, namely the 'forced workrate epic' stuff that I have already ranted about. It's tired, and there are numerous other guys on the roster who work the style better.
Maxximus
I'm with you in the sense that if he didn't come back after his Fozzy tour I wouldn't miss him that much. You're right he was just there kinda taking up space almost. There was no passion behind him because everyone knew his role was just to get other guys over. Besides like dsr and I and even yourself(I believe) said, how do you get guys over if all your doing is getting guys over? Sure he's Chris freaking Jericho but that's ALL he is and I'm even starting to wonder if that means anything at all anymore? And besides did he even do his job? Who did he really put over big? I don't think anyone he lost to got a rub of any measurable quality. I'm probably just rehashing everything you've already said about Y2J.
Jimmy Redman
Yeah, there's no value in beating Jericho anymore because he jobs to everyone. Fandango beat him at Mania and it didn't mean anything. They tried to use "BIGGEST UPSET IN WRESTLEMANIA HISTORY" as a talking point, and it literally wouldn't have made the slightest difference to his career if Jericho won that match instead. I don't think he's been bad or anything, and he's always going to be over so he's useful to have around, but I don't think he really contributes anything substantial anymore. He's just a more over version of Christian, a veteran who's job is to put guys over. Which is fine, and again useful, but it doesn't really matter if he stays or goes anymore. Plus to me he is incredibly stale in the ring.
