Maxximus
WWE Hall of Fame 2013 Finally some good news. Mick Foley to be inducted into WWE Hall of Fame http://i.imgur.com/ooQw9.jpg Mick Foley will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this April, The Post had learned. According to sources, Foley, a three-time WWE Champion, will be honored at the company’s annual Hall of Fame induction ceremony which is held the night before Wrestlemania. This year’s ceremony will be held at Madison Square Garden on Saturday April 6 with Wrestlemania 29 taking place at MetLife Stadium the following evening. The Long Island resident debuted in 1986 and while not having the typical wrestler physique that other superstars of his era had, was a crowd favorite. Foley often switched between his three wrestling personas, Cactus Jack, Dude Love and Mankind during his career and is most famous for his no-holds-barred mentality in and out of the ring. John Hancock
Good, fully deserved, and I'm VERY excited that it's Attitude Era time in the Hall of Fame. But, Mick, that's goodbye, PLEASE don't ever wrestle again.
Jamster26
Why wasn't he not already in?
The Fury
Random News Well earned and deserved! Really chuffed
Ciaran The King
Yeah Mick is deserving, who can ever forget KOTR 1998?
The Fury
Random News That match is my favourite match of all time! It was defining and showed how much he took just to please the fans
Ciaran The King
Mick deserves it just for allowing himself to be thrown off the cell!
Jimmy Redman
Why wasn't he not already in? The hadnt really started inducting youngish guys until recently, at which point he was in TNA.
John Hancock
Only just noticed that the induction ceremony is at MSG, so there's another reason they chose this one; they're inducting him in what is effectively his home town.
Jimmy Redman
Yeah I'd expect them to go for guys who have a link to NY, like how they did for Atlanta and etc.
John Hancock
What other possibilities have New York connections? Is the Brawler in the HoF yet? Surely he'll go in now if he isn't already. Booker T's another New Yorker (well, his gimmick was) with half a chance. Horowitz
Chuffed Foley is being inducted. This should hopefully retire him once and for all.
The Beltster
The Brawler cant go in, he's from Brooklyn and he wore a Nets jersey on TV, that shit will get him lynched in MSG! Plus, he's shit :lol
Dead Crow
What other possibilities have New York connections? Is the Brawler in the HoF yet? Surely he'll go in now if he isn't already. Booker T's another New Yorker (well, his gimmick was) with half a chance. If I were a betting man, I'd nominate Bob Backlund. History in MSG, and deserves to be in there as much as anyone. Fatherof10minis
Foley is long overdue for the induction, but i agree, Foley... don"t wrestle again. Backlund would be a great one for that and there is a slew of stars from the 60s 70s and early 80s who have tremendous MSG connections. Still want to see an Owen Hart induction but is his widow still fighting with WWE?
John Hancock
Backlund's not in yet!? Man, yeah, get him in.
The Beltster
He's not in because he turned down the offer.
DC
Same with Sammartino, who would be a lock for this year's event.
Canned Heat
Mick is awesome and this is well deserving. He is proof that you don't need to be the most athletic guy to be great at wrestling, you just have to love it and do whatever you can to send the fans home happy. And thats what he did, for almost 20 years.
John Hancock
Same with Sammartino, who would be a lock for this year's event. Sammartinio being inducted in MSG would be absolutely beautiful.
Maxximus
Rumors abound about Bam Bam Bigelow getting a posthumous spot in the HoF. Still no Savage though. That's a damn shame really.
The Beltster
Savage wont go in unless Lanny and his dad go in, all as a family and Vince is having none of it. He doesn't like Randy as it is so he doesn't need any more reasons to keep him out.
Ciaran The King
Bam Bam is a great shout, but the Savage argument should end because as long as Vince is alive it's not happening
Jack
Vince and Savage worked together before his death though, so surely their relationship had thawed a bit? Lanny is an absolute pr*ck. You could argue his dad should be in the HOF but him? I don't see it. He doesn't belong in the HOF and if the WWE don't want him there, he shouldn't prevent his brother being inducted. It's ridiculously selfish.
