ViciousPrism
Not mainstream wrestling, but f*cking hilarious anyway. This past Saturday night (January 19) at Vintage Wrestling's biggest event of the year, WrestleBrawl 4 in Sanford, Florida the unthinkable in pro wrestling happened. A wrestler called the cops on his opponent for going off script. The wrestler who called the cops was Steelhorse Vachon. His opponent was former WWE development wrestler Steve (Tommy) Taylor.. Here is a post from Taylor's Facebook page explaining the whole thing: First off I am not a veteran in Pro Wrestling. I am in my 11th year and still pretty young. But I was trained by 2 of the best in British wrestling Jeff Kaye and Drew McDonald. One of the number one rules was to always "keep your mouth shut and your ears open!". Which I did 11 years ago and still do today. I actually consider myself too humble sometimes. Anyway last night I was scheduled to work SteelHorse Vachon (shudders!). And although he wasn't there at the building for call time I figured I had nothing to worry about when it came to the actual "work". I shine best when put in the ring with big fellas (this guy is like 6 foot 5 and 280lbs before I go on). So eventually he shows up and literally walks past everyone in the changing room, me, Francisco, Kory just to name a few, and preceded to sit down and get ready.... Ok When the time came I asked him to come talk to me when he was ready. He strolled over to me with his head in his cell phone and said something like "suppppp"... I said I had an idea and started to explain.. Head still in his phone... So I walked away. I got back with him 5 mins later and gave him a second chance. The way he talked to me reminded me of the way a 15-20 year vet might talk to a fresh rookie! Including the best bit: "I don't want to do your finish because I don't trust you and I have BIGGER matches coming up"......... At this point I literally threw my hands up and decided to work this ****! Time for the match. Now although there was some tension already I still think a thank you be safe is required.... Nope! .... Out to the ring. I see he has a belt.... A nice championship belt! And he was announced as the Bronx Fed Champ or some bollocks. Then I notice the design of the strap was EXACTLY the same as the VintageWrestling Heavyweight Title that Frankie held... Well alrighty!! Maybe he cleared with the RIGHT people.. (Not just the ring announcer).. I later found out he had not. So wrestling!!! He hit hard, I hit hard, it was what I wanted.. Until it came to the point of the match I excel in MY FIRE UP! Now without going too much into this, he didn't like that I sandbagged him and was selling the crowd a deathly camel clutch. (I'm sure the TheAlmighty Sheik wouldn't want me to hop straight up and basically ignore the fans). Because of this he decided to double slap my ribs/back, taking the wind out of me... So got up and popped him one... He went down and I kicked him out of the ring! I got him through the rest of the match and jobs a good un! The next part I'm still unsure of what exactly happened but he pretty much fabed everyone and left the venue........ ONLY TO RETURN WITH THE POLICE!!!! Yes..... For me! For going OFF SCRIPT (his words) I had already set off to go home so that's why I'm a bit puzzled. But I guess police talked to some of the boys if not all and came to the conclusion it was ridiculous! [video=youtube;PQi3_4OcuCo] "Incident" that caused it begins at 3:30-ish. Good gawd. Jack
That Tommy guy is an unprofessional knob. His opponent hurt him, so he got up and punched him? The guy in jeans would have been well within his rights to boot him in the face or something. He was wrong to call the police, of course, but whoever the Tommy wrestler is, he's unprofessional and deserves a good kicking himself. Maxximus
They both messed up and acted like douches. If I was that Horse guy I would have sandbagged the hell out of his finish and no sold it, then grabbed my Brox title and walked out. On to the next show. The Beltster
Imagine if a guy pre-1990 grassed to the cops if he go stiffed in a match? He'd be the laughing stock of the business.
Eddie
Wonder when he'll get his NXT contract :lol

He'll probably get stiffed a hell of a lot more afterwards as well :lol
Omega
Jack and Maxx's posts stagger me really. The guy tries to slap around a guy because he doesn't get up quick enough after selling his offenceand gets a little smack in the face to remind him not to f*ck about and suddenly he's unprofessional? This stuff goes on all the time, clearly the guy thinks being huge gives him special clearance to do what he wants with his huge ginger beard and an 11 year vet gave him something to think about. I guess you could say he could have just finished the match and spoken to the guy but reading the full story clearly Vachon wasn't listening to anyone or acting professionally before hand so it;d be a waste of time verbally trying to school him. No, wrestlers will give each other receipts and potatoes. But to break character, stop selling in the middle of the ring in front of a paying audience and just punch somebody full force in the face... unprofessional and bull shit. Besides, 11 years and still in the indies? There may be a reason for that. I've never heard of this guy before, and likely wont again. He's obviously tried this on with somebody he knew he would get away with it with. You think he'd do that to Brock Lesnar? Or even a WWE jobber on a tryout? **** no. Guys a jumped up little douche and that's why he'll always be a nobody. Got to laugh at the other guy calling the police though. I can imagine a young William Afflis doing the same thing... Omega
Said who exactly?
etz
After watching the video, the big dude got taken to school for being a dick, that's all. Popping up like that and clocking him one wasn't the right thing to do, simply because it broke the narrative, especially when landing a genuine haymaker later on would have served the same purpose. Of course, he could always have beat the shit out of him in the locker room after the match.
Maxximus
Yeah, but he potato'd the guy for being rude to him in the locker room. He already had animosity when the horse guy stomped him. I don't blame the other guy for what he did, but if you're gonna potato someone, make it look less obvious. Like I said, Ida just sandbagged and no sold the rest of his offense. That's just my take on it.
Omega
So your saying popping the guy quickly to teach him not to take liberties is worse than messing up the rest of the match and potentially seriously injuring yourself in the process (see how well sandbagging did Bob Holly against Brock Lesnar)?
Maxximus
He didn't just pop him quickly though. He tried to boot his face off when he sent him through the rope. I do give the guy credit for finishing the match like a professional though. I'd like to say I would handle things differently, but, circumstances being the same, I probably would have done something similar so I do see your point. Omega
I think the boot in the face was simply to get his fat ass out of the ring so the match could go on once he'd licked his wounds, he only really dives in after 2-3 attempts at pushing him out as you usually would. I don't think thi is anywhere near as unprofessional as 3:20 in the following video.. [video=youtube;eVxHgucP7Y4]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVxHgucP7Y4&feature=player_detailpage#t=206s Look, I think all in all potatoing some dude who's taking liberties after being an asshole backstage with one shot is a fairly standard thing, in a business where you rely on other people keeping you safe I'd be super pissed if I thought guy was knocking me about because his mind was on these "bigger matches" he's supposedly got and giving him something to smarten him up before he really hurt right there and then isn't all that unprofessional. The Beltster
Michaels is very lucky that Vader was more concerned with keeping his job than he was giving him a receipt, because Shawn in a well-known p*ssy and Vader would have f*cking killed him if he felt like it. Edgehead
Yeah I've seen interviews with Jim Cornette saying what an as*hole Shawn Michaels was in the 90s & he's pretty much the reason that Vader was never WWF Champion
Will O the Wisp
In that particular video what was Michaels upset about? Why did he stomp his head?

terrythunk
(see how well sandbagging did Bob Holly against Brock Lesnar)? Stop believing shit you read on the Internet. Holly has stated multiple times he didn't do that, and do you honestly think Lesnar couldn't have picked him up if Bob did? And what did you mean by "said who?" on the previous page exactly? Shaun2J
Bob Holly is a bullshitter of the highest order.
Jimmy Redman
In that particular video what was Michaels upset about? Why did he stomp his head? The plan was for Vader to roll out of the way, so that Shawn could land on his feet and then deliver an elbow. Vader didnt move, so Shawn jumped off the top rope for no reason and looked silly, so he threw a tantrum.
Paul
(see how well sandbagging did Bob Holly against Brock Lesnar)? Stop believing shit you read on the Internet. Holly has stated multiple times he didn't do that, and do you honestly think Lesnar couldn't have picked him up if Bob did? You dont need to believe the internet, you can watch the match! Its clear as day.
Jimmy Redman
Oh come on DS, who would you rather believe? Your own eyes or a wrestler in a shoot interview? :lol
Omega
I believe TerryThunk but then again I can't believe everything I read on the internet therefore I can't believe TerryThunk therefore I can trust everything I read on the internet and so Bob Holly did sandbag Brock Lesnar and get his neck broke. Sorted. :)
