A child's drawing on a dirty napkin is better that the average TNA poster. That said, for what it's worth, this poster is also pretty silly. Angry/pained/orgasmic Cena's little face being born through a fiery vagina.

 

Anyway, onto the actual, you know, wrestling, how long has the build been for this? It feels like they've given it about two weeks!

Yes, two week build for HIAC.

 

NoC just had a five week build, and its one of two PPVs in October, so they have to squeeze it in.

 

I mean, of all the PPVs to cut the build to. It wouldnt be so bad if they actually planned things so that long-standing feuds were already in place and they could get away with only another two weeks of build before the HIAC blowoffs. But...they dont.

 

On the plus side, Orton vs Henry in HIAC is going to BOSS.

Looking forward to the triple threat and Henry/Orton. With the way there portraying Henry can't see him losing and that beg's the question What's next for Orton and Henry?

Fantasy booking on the idea that Henry wins is easy. Henry moves onto Sheamus whom he never beat cleanly, and Orton goes on to finish his feud with Cody after The Bloodbath That Never Was.

I can see them pushing Bryan to beat Henry. If he keeps his nose clean, and manages to stay in the higher ups good book, then I think they'll run with the "submission expert" angle. To be honest, I'm surprised they haven't done more with that already. Why is there no Daniel Bryan "You tap or you snap" shirt?

That's my point, they started building him as a submission expert, and it's just kinda evaporated into the ether. I didn't mean the shirt specifically, it was meant more as a "what happened to Daniel Bryan, submission expert"?

He's still a submission expert, he's always been a submission expert. He has a shirt that says "Submission Wrestling". He just happened to never used the NXT line again.

I didn't word that very well at all. I meant the same thing, Bryan should already be getting built up ready to cash in, but he's been jobbed out for the last 2 months. I don't think I've seen him even attempt the LaBell Lock for a fair few weeks now. Remember when he used to lock it on from nowhere, and had reversal for everything?

 

It's like they're testing Bryan to see what he'll put up with. What's up with WWE not being able to push old Indy guys without making making them look like an a*shat for a year first?

I'm hoping it's all part of the plan. Like, Bryan threatens to cash in on Henry (or whoever), and they're all "bitch please, you haven't won a match in months". Then BAM! Bryan makes him submit.

 

I'm really hoping they do one of those awesome promo-y bits where Henry tries to attack Bryan and ends up getting caught in a submission and tapping. I love that kind of thing, especially if commentary sell it properly (which is doubtful with Cole).

I'm sure the three way will be ok, but I have no interest in it. Really bad build ruined by those horrible "you're going straight to HELL", "I've been through HELL", "Being champion is HELL", promos. Plus the HIAC matches are always quite long and the thoughts of Mark Henry in a long match are suicidal. Skippable.
