Shaun2J 127
That and a Beth Phoenix nipple!
Guest Jamster26
Mark Henry is boring. He's had the same character since he joined, which hey, isn't his fault, it's the guys who make the decisions. Just tedious him destroying everyone now. Can't wait until he loses (which he will) and then dissapear for another fifteen years.
Maxximus 353
To counter that, I think this is the best Mark Henry has ever been. He's come a long way from trying to rap with MVP. I love his monster heel of destruction right now. One thing though. I don't think it's fair to call Sheamus the "Great White." I find it to be a little racist. I mean, It's fine to call him the Great White so shouldn't it be okay to call Mark Henry "The Bad Black?"
Guest Jimmy Redman
They're not calling him the "Great White Person" though, its short for "Great White Shark". Plus, being so white is part of his gimmick, and its easier to call a white person white than it is to call a black person black.
Maxximus 353
So would it be okay to call Mark Henry the Bad Black Gorilla? I should add that I'm mostly just joking before the replies to my comments spiral out of control, it's just something about calling Sheamus the Great White doesn't sit well with me. I'm just not into it.
Guest Jimmy Redman
But the name of Gorillas isnt 'Bad Black Gorillas'. Its just Gorilla. Great White Shark is the actual name of a specific animal, thats the difference. Like a Black Mamba.
dsrchris 190
They called Henry "Silverback" for a while, but no-one complained about the black guy getting a monkey nickname. I like Great White. It's a cool nickname.
Guest BratSan
Great White suits Sheamus's persona. Though Henry looks like a Gorilla :P , he shouldn't be called one.

Guest Ciaran The King
All he's done is throw a few people around, have his matches improved? his promos? I think not
Guest BratSan
All he's done is throw a few people around, have his matches improved? his promos? I think not Can't argue about his mic work, it sucks. But his matches were good compared to what he was having pre-heel turn.
Guest Ciaran The King
Can't argue about his mic work, it sucks. But his matches were good compared to what he was having pre-heel turn. Henry's matches are at the same level they were five even ten years ago. I would much rather see Wade Barrett or Sheamus pushed to the extent Henry has been pushed. Henry is an experiment that failed about a minute after they signed him.
Guest Jimmy Redman
There's no way you've seen the Mark Henry of 10 years ago if you think he isnt any better as a worker now compared to then. His promos are fine. He's a badass monster heel, and he projects that perfectly fine. The only time his promos go off course is when he's given overly scripted and goofy lines to say. For the most part he's done fine. Plus, harping on about promos misses the point a fair bit when his character isnt based on being a promo guy. Orton isnt exactly an orator most of the time, but he portrays his character perfectly and has insane charisma. Its more than about just talking, its about the whole package, and Mark Henry, as the whole package, is a complete character. In terms of ring work, he's been good for a while, but I think the main difference is the opportunity he has now, compared to normally. Most guys look better when they're actually in a prominent position and are allowed to show what they can do, and he's no exception. When given the chance to be the monster that the guy should be, he's a great monster. All of the big matches he's had on this run - Big Show, Sheamus, the battle royal - have been great. Guest BratSan
I would much rather see Wade Barrett or Sheamus pushed to the extent Henry has been pushed. Henry is an experiment that failed about a minute after they signed him. Sheamus is already a two time champion, last time I checked. So yeah, he has been pushed. Wade is not yet ready to make that final jump. So yeah, he can wait for his turn. Mark has improved a lot over past couple of months and backed it up with some good performances. So yeah, his push is justified. Hell, I was a Henry-basher up until a few weeks ago. But cant always judge someone with closed eyes n mind. He gets credit for playing his character perfectly till now.
Guest Ciaran The King
Wade is not yet ready to make that final jump. So yeah, he can wait for his turn. And Henry after fifteen years is ready. This is the main problem with WWE, pushing incompetent people who even after nearly two decades in the business still cannot work an exciting match. Once again WWE is pushing a formula that has failed countless times, Henry along with Kane and Big Show is another failed act who WWE seems to push down our throat year after year. I would rather watch Sheamus and Barrett get the chance(s) than some failed world's strongest man.
Guest Jimmy Redman
To be fair to Barrett, he was perfectly 'ready' last year with Nexus, but they never pulled the trigger on him then and instead buggered it up. Now, after the last 9 months, he's been damaged and would need to be built back up at this stage.
Guest Jamster26
Yeah, he's just another in a long line they should have, like you say, "pulled the trigger" but the moment has gone now. Shame. That squash match he had with Cena, hardly helps things, you know? Edited September 14, 2011 by Jamster26
Maxximus 353
There is plenty of time to salvage Wade Barrett.
Guest Jimmy Redman
Oh he's certainly salvageable. No question. Its just that he's been damaged badly by 2011 and right now, they're going to need to rehab him a little before they, theoretically, give him a big world title feud, which was the original point of whoever made the point about Barrett in Henry's spot. Guest Ciaran The King
I made the original point about Barrett having Henry's spot, and I do understand and agree with the points about him needing time to regain some momentum but would you rather Henry over everyone on smackdown?
