- Word backstage is that Vince McMahon was feeding Michael Cole more lines than usual on commentary last night during RAW.

To tie in with the other thread about how sh*t the commentary has become, tonights was no different. I actually fastforwarded RAW in places to skip the commentary(I'm not a fan of watching in silence). Cole was insane. During the Punk match he went on and on before JR managed to get back on topic. By then I was already pretty much ****ed off with it all.

Vince should just sit in a sound proof room with Cole and yell at him while Cole repeats it ****ing back to him. No-one gives a Toss what they are talking about anyway.

As Shaun said, Cole's awful Holocaust of a commentary is actually what Vince wants (!!!!!). When he's being normal, that because Vince is doing something else, but, as soon as Vince is talking to the commentary team, he's telling Cole to be shit.

 

So sayeth the dirt sheets anyway.

Usually the commentary doesn't bother me. I can tune it out and enjoy what's going on, but this week was different. I was screaming at my television for Cole to shut the f*ck up. He really ruined a lot of the show for me.

It was a bad show this week. Cena overcoming the odds every week is just bollocks now and his fued with Del Rio is just so by the numbers. Also, why was Nash so upset at being fired when last week he really wanted to be?

Nash's involvement is killing that whole bit - they could have invited anyone else, heck even HBK...but instead they have the ONE person who is the LEAST relevent to todays audience, has all the current charisma of a dead goats rear end and a complete lack of actual physical mobility.

 

I was wondering at what point I would start calling the feud terminally ill...I now know that point:

The moment Kevin Nash stepped into the arena.

HBK would have just killed the angle though because everyone would cheer him. For the angle to both make sense and work, it had to be either Nash or Waltman. The only other possibility would be Hall, but, just, no. HBK's in that Undertaker position where, if he showed up on Raw tomorrow, he could burn the American flag and piss on a Bible, and he'd still get the biggest face reaction of the night.

 

The whole angles a complete mess anyway. Apparently, the reason it's gone so wrong is that Nash failed a medical check up and can't wrestler right now, so they had to rush the Trips/Punk match. It's killed the angle for me though, this match has come way too fast, and the whole, "it waspish texting himself" angle made it even more "...huh?". No it looks like they're just trying round this whole thing up now.

I'm holding out hope that something happens at the PPV so it's not a straight match. It's waaaaay too soon for Trippers to be getting in the ring since becoming COO.

 

Something screwy that stops HHH from getting to the arena for the PPV would work. Someone keeps Hunter away from the arena, Punk comes out for his match and gets jumped by a bunch of Nash's new bitches (Otunga and McGillicutty would work, especially after the New Nexus. Hell, why not be consistent and use Miz and Truth after last week's beatdown?)

 

I don't know why, but I've got a feeling this match between Punk and Hunter won't go ahead. Or even if it does, there's no way it's going to be a straight up one on one match.

There is no way in hell that Punk is going over after the addition of that stipulation. HHH stepping down as COO is not gonna happen, so we already know the result. Thank you WWE. You made it really unpredictable.

It's either got to go down with Steph plotting something to keep HHH's job, or Johnny Ace plotting something to boot Hunter out and try and replace him.

I can only see Hunter losing if there's an Ace/Vince conspiracy to replace him and go back to the old regime. Ace isnt appearing on every show for no reason.

 

The problem is that Nash and the text should have been a big part of the puzzle, if thats the case, and they blew it off. But if there's problems with Nash what can they do, I guess.

That's the only way Punk's gonna go over Hunter. And there is a good probability for it to be the case too. Vince being the vindictive fella that he is, might wanna get even with Hunter for "relieving him of his duties", kayfabe style. ;)

Ace is just the workhorse for Vinnie-Mac. Story unfolds.

I agree with this completely; Cole was beyond unbearable this week and it's the first time I turned the sound off when watching an episode of RAW.

Poor show I thought. Or perhaps I'm being harsh; just wasn't as good as usual. Commentary didn't bother me, then again it never does. I'm only really interested in the storylines anyway.

 

Oh and I've seen that main event match type with Cena, to death and back...

Once Cole got too much I fast forwarded it to the end to see Cena making the Smackdown 'stars' look like enhancement talent. A superb way to get viewers for Smackdown, make them look inferior to the Raw lads.
