Jozzoh 2
Playstation plus is the new subscription service from sony. $50 (US I assume) will get you 1 Year and $20 will get you 3 months. Here's what you get: - Free monthly PSN games, minis and PS One Classics from the PSN Store. Sony has not specified what games and how many will be available each month. Any free game you download will remain yours as long as you are a PlayStation Plus subscriber. - Exclusive dynamic themes, premium avatars and premium game elements/add-ons. - PlayStation Store discounts ranging from 20% to 50% off. - Select demos and beta trials before they go live to everyone else. PlayStation Plus members can also try full game titles before buying them. Each trial will typically last an hour before you must choose to purchase the game. Any progress you made in the trial period, including game saves and trophies earned, will carry over into the full game once purchased. You will also be able to set up your PS3 to wake up from standby at anytime to download and install game updates, videos and demos. System updates can also automatically download, but will require a manual install. Credit: IGN
Paul 584
I suppose it depends on the games... if I had the money Id probably buy it.
ViciousPrism 177
Nay. I hate the general system. In the long run, you'll be paying out a lot more money for stuff that you could have gotten for less. It's not worth it in my opinion.
Paul 584
Conversly the free game trials could save you a lot of money as an hour on a game could give you more insight than a selected demo. Swings and roundabouts. Plus the beta testing and early demos are a nice little bonus if you're into that sort of thing. Im just glad online play isnt restricted to paying. Thats for damned sure. ViciousPrism 177
I agree. X-Box Live's feature set warrant the price tag. Playstation Network though, has most of Live's features for free. And the Plus service isn't adding a great deal more anyway. No cross game chat? No sale.
