Guest Davros
Basically what the thread title says - do places like Blockbuster etc allow you to hire 360 controllers? My brothers are coming round and I'm short on controllers but don't want to fork out the 20 odd quid for a spare. I don't know anyone local that I could borrow one from. Any ideas anyone? Guest ScottyB
Have you tried looking for a cheaper 3rd party controller? Like this one: http://www.play.com/Games/Xbox360/4-/3257102/Joytech-Neo-Se-Advanced-Controller/Product.html Or buy any control then take it back before 28 days and get a full refund. Make sure to ask about their returns policy first though.

Fletch 204
Yeah, Hiring of controllers, as far as I'm aware, is not a possibility. I'm currently unhappy with the fact one of my controllers for my PS3 is majorly broken. My options are now, use my adapter and PS2 wired controller. Cheap non-Sony replacement, 2 Sixaxis pack for about 30-40 quid, or a Dual Shock 3 for 40 notes.

Guest Kanenite
You always used to be able to do it, I used to to go round a mates. Suppose it's not worth the risk nowadays though.
Fletch 204
While on this topic, Microsoft have unveiled a new and improved 360 controller at the German Gaming Convention. It's completely the same bar the D-Pad has been modified to a less spongy feel. It apparently feels nicer when playing Pro Evo. Do people still even use the D-Pad?
