Who really knows the real you at TWO?

After reading that thread about thoughts on TWO posters, I was surprised to think people thought I get really worked up and uptight, which in reality is the polar opposite of my personality, thus made me realise how little people TWO really know me.

 

So I thought who at TWO actually knows you and your real personality, or do you think people think of you in a way which your posts have given off?

At the end of the day, it's an internet forum and i don't really care what anyone may or may not think of me, everyone has an opinion.

Colin and I know the real each other fairly well. We haven't met but we talk more informally via Skype and talk a lot on MSN anyway. We've done radio, columns, ETS, etc. We rule.

I'd say there's a few here that have a handle on what I'm like, but maybe only 2 or 3 that really get how I am in real life. I'm totally different here to how I actually am, I'm just a tad more confident, maybe because I seem to have been here since before time began... but that's also a bad thing... familiarity breeds contempt, after all...

 

Folks, if you think I come across as low on self confidence on here, you should see me in reality.

Burak as I've known him since Uni. Telf, BRM & MG as I've spent time with them in the real world, likewise DS, although he calls me Christof still. Real life is totally different to online, of those I chat to online probably Nimf and Ray have the biggest handle on what I'm really like.

 

What's sad is that some I've met really are like how they portray themselves online, and not in a good way.

Well to me you do seem to get a worked up now and then if you don't agree with someones point,I don't know you from adam but that's the way you come across to me.

I am pretty much the same online as I am in real life, though I talk more. As a rule, I like people. I can even say I nearly like DraVen lately, which worries me a tad. So i'd say if you've spoken to me online, then you know me fairly well, i'm fairly open. If there's anything you want to know, ask, I seldom if ever get offended.

But you see thats my point. This is a forum, for which the whole point of debating. Thus if I don't agree with someone, I debate. In reality I don't get worked up in the slightest, I just come on here to debate with other opinion's, cause well thats well what you're supposed to do isn't it?

 

But I do see your point, if I come across like that. But to me, its a forum for debating, thus if I disagree I argue. I mean if I didn't argue/debate, why would I bother coming to the site?

I don't think very many people know me all that well here. I don't really talk to anyone from TWO on MSN (apart from Nicole maybe and that's not really regular either). Not because I hate everyone, I just don't tend to talk to that many "online" people online. Which is probably a bit weird. The people I really only talk to online are people with whom I have a real life friendship.

 

I'd like to think I'm pretty similar in real life as I am in my postings but it's difficult to tell really what a person is properly like without talking to them a lot. Postings on a forum isn't like natural conversation so while you can get an inkling as to someones likes and dislikes, their view on the world or whatever, I don't think you get a really, really proper idea of someone just based on their posts.

 

At TWO, B-Man/Barry obviously knows me very, very well but that's because he's known me away from the Internet and known me since my age was in single digits.

I don't think anyone knows the real me at all on TWO. There are a couple of people that know me better than others but I think it's hard to show the real me on an internet forum.

The people that know me fairly well know who they are......

 

I find it hard to act differently on the internet as to the way i do in real life. So the opinion you have about me on the internet will probably be the same opinion if you ever met me in real life. That's why i consider myself quite easy to get to know. :)

Nobody, at all. Alot of people have come to their own conclusions based on my posting style, but then thats what I've done with them aswell, its all you can do if you only know somebody as a screen name on a forum.

 

I'm private and alot calmer I guess is a fair word, in person. Although that being said, if you act like a ***** around me in person, I've no problems telling you. I'm not at all bothered what people think of me outside of my Son, g/f and grandparents. Sure its nice if people like you, but theres no point in being false in an attempt to make people like you. Thats quite sad.

Nimf, Gothic Angel, Ahsatan, Taki, Twiggie and especially Mr Dragon are people on here I've spoken to alot on MSN so they probably are the closest at least. Though I do pretty much wear my heart on my sleeve.
