Obsession with big guys?

I thought I'd start a seperate thread for this, since a lot of people seem totally obsessed with the idea that Vince pushes big guys because he has some personal obsession with them.

Now I'm sure lots of people would agree with that idea, but obviously it's not true.

Fans are the one who dictate what is shown in WWE, not Vince, and here's the proof:

In boxing, which matches are ALWAYS the main events for titles? Heavyweight ones.

In UFC, which title matches are ALWAYS the main events?

Heavyweight, or light-heavyweight ones.

In both these sports, do the promoters ever shunt the heavyweights down the cards to make room for more talented but smaller guys? No!!

So someone tell me why it's all Vince's idea to have big guys at the top of the card in WWE?

Does Vince's power extend over the whole of boxing and MMA too? :lol

...they're completely different sports. In fact they are sports, as opposed to Wrestling, which is entertainment. Why does wrestling have to be the same as boxing or MMA in terms of this? Ludicrous argument.

Yeah Jimmy's has pretty much settled that one.

Does that mean the most successful soap operas are the ones with the largest actors?

And in UFC not every match in the main event is heavyweight is it?

In boxing why did De La Hoya/Mayweather do so well? Cause they were heavyweights? Ooo but they aren't, so why was it so successful? Why aren't the likes of Klitschko and Toney making enormous bucks?

Honestly you haven't a clue. I give up on you Ed you just don't get it.

You can't compare a wrestling TV show to a sport anyway. Its obviously true cause history shows us that.

Former light-heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell, and current light-heavyweight champion Quentin Jackson piss on your already-garbage argument from a great height.

The main event matches are usually the ones that a promotion (WWE or MMA) think will attract the huge ppv buys such as Ortiz vs Liddell or HBK vs Cena, just because they are not heavyweights it does not take anything away from their performance at the box office.
