DC 536
I was reading Jim Ross's blog, and he had an interesting comment about Big Show. I was just wondering what you all think of the notion. Credit: jrsbarbq.com The Big Show had dropped mucho pounds and was training to perhaps get into boxing, which is in dire need of a heavyweight “star” that isn’t a RussianHere is a link to the blog in question. Guest Jung
I'd like to see the mucho pounds he's dropped. Reminds me of when he went to OVW and they said "he's in great shape, looks the best he's ever had". And he comes back at the Rumble looking even fatter than when he left. Guest The Beltster
He looked alot slimmer when he wrestled Hogan. Maybe time off the road where he can eat properly and have his wife keep an eye on him have dnoe him some good.
Guest Jung
Its still amazing when you see him in WCW in 1995, just how agile and muscular he was. If he stayed like that, he could have really been so much more.
Guest Dave7g
He's 450 punds now, so he's about as quick and agile as a docked cruise ship. He would be the worst boxer of all times, I wanna see.
Burakiosaurus 129
i don't think he would last, but i can't see anyone knocking him out either, so it would probably always go down to a points decision
Guest Dave7g
Nobody would knock him out, but after he throws about 3 punches he'll be out on his feet.
Guest dpddave
If he got a good enough smack on the chin he'd be knocked out,any man would.

Guest Bluestiger99
I really can't see him doing the boxing thing. More power to him if he can, but he seems a might bit heavy to me. He would have a killer reach though.

Omega 354
Actually he does look like he's dropped pounds, wonder how he'd do in MMA? Could he be too heavy to take down or just a frickin' big target to strike at?
Guest Jung
He'd be difficult to knock down to an extent, but he'd never win anything, boxing or UFC cause he's just too damn big and lumbering.
Fidel Cashflow 130
I'd REALLY like to see him fight Nicolai Valuev. That'd be the slowest fight of all time.
Spiritchaser 107
I don't think he'd even get a license, boxing takes years of training unless he fights in Nevada all the time then he might get one for the spectacle, but not for his pugilistic technique. Guest Ed_666
I think he'd have a chance in UFC just because of his size and strength. Unlike 99% of competitors, he would have no problem lifting and slamming practically any guy in UFC. Sure guys would be faster than him, and if they got him down they could submit him (though even that would be hard because of the size), but any time he got into the clinch, he could just arch his back, lift them off their feet and belly-to-belly them. I don't care who you are, if Show picks you up, and falls on you, you're in serious ****, if you're not KO'd immediately. Maybe someone like Chuck could hit him with a patented lucky punch, but I can't see someone like Couture, Ortiz or Slyvia being able to not get caught in a clinch and squashed. Guest MastersGonads
I was under the impression that Wight, was going to return to WWE at some point? And was merely taking a break, because both mentally and physically he was shot? I really cant see Show, as a Boxer or in UFC, just for the fact, that due to age and not his weight, has lost any agility he used to have in WCW, and would get picked off by someone like Kilitscko (?) etz 78
Didnt help Giant Siva much. Nor Akabono. Agreed, real fighting is less about size/strength and more about the will to win, and the speed and skill to make it happen.
