Laptop Question

Folks

Strange one for you. Stupidly either myself or the Mrs (we'll presume the Mrs) let the new laptop's battery run down to 0%. Now we have a funny issue, the laptop only works when the power pack is plugged in and refuses to charge, just stays on 0%. I've tried it with the laptop both off and on with multiple power supplies as all my laptops have the same PSU (unfortunately not the same battery). The power light just flashes on the laptop.

Over to the techies!

Im not too sure really....mine does that too...the light flashes on my laptop but when i put the power supply its fine. Maybe the laptop battery is totally knackered and you may need another one.

Hey, mine all of a sudden started flickering everytime i switched it on, and having to reboot about 9 times just to get it working. I've had to reset it to factory settings and try and restore all my music, stories and stuff.....laptops eh? Muddy funsters.

Lappy batteries is not my area of experties but sounds knackered to me, strange that its gone so soon. It could be the charger/adapter if you haven't been able to test that it will charge other batteries. If the laptop isn;t working when plugged into the mains but will do if plugged in with the battery it could be that I guess...

If its an acer laptop then thats what mine has done, after a while the charger broke and now the hinges holding the screen up are splitting, so all in all pretty good laptop.

Acer's are better than Infinity's though. I was having a new laptop nearly every month with them, as the plastic just cracked at the slightest bit of pressure. My acer's not even showing sign of damage now, and it's about 4/5 months old. Infact the only problem with it, is Vista and it's loverly compatibility issues.
