How about an anti-smackdown faction?

Hey guys, following the recent draft, that literally buried Smackdown, how about setting a pro Raw- anti Smackdown faction up.

My idea was to introduce Chris Masters and Kenny Dykstra backstage discussing how insuperior Smackdown is to its red rival. They approach Teddy Long and inform him that unless they can have a contract release they will make lfe difficult whilst they are on his own show.

After raising hell for a couple of weeks, ie destroying jobbers, iterfering in matches, they recruit Eugene by manipulating him. Thus giving Eugene useful airtime as well as presenting some much needed comic potential.

After acquiring the services of Eugene, our faction set their sights higher and aim to recruit Ric Flair. Flair is not interested and tells the younger guys that the should be appreciative of the oppertunity to appear on Smackdown. This leads to beatdowns on Flair who is eventually saved by Batista, leading to a ppv tag match between Anti Smackdown and the former Evolution members.

What do you guys think? It gives two young talents the chance to up their credibility against two over characters who could do with some time away from singles title action.

Trouble is mate there's already an anti-smackdown faction and they're called 'creative'

If they wanted to they could have strengthened Smackdown in the draft but instead they took away two main eventers in Kennedy and Booker and compensated for that with Chris Masters and a still green Kenny Dykstra.

If WWE really cared about the show they'd have switched someone the calibre of John Cena or HHH to Friday night and would give the cruiserweight division more exposure.

I wouldn't mind seeing a few OVW guys come up into Smackdown and do a group together. I'd throw Kenny Dykstra in with them. A group of Dykstra, Birchill, Jeter, Rodman, and Cabana would be interesting to me and they could push that they are young, hungry, and ready to take over Smackdown. I know Dykstra and Jeter were in the Spirit Squad before but maybe the fans will forget and forgive how badly they were booked :)

Yeah, HHH would be a brilliant idea... "Hey Trips, your on Smackdown. Yeah I know your injured and everything but go along, show up and we're just sure ratings will improve."

Wonderful...

A 100% HHH.......not the crocked version lol

The draft was never about strengthening Smackdown though, the draft was made because Smackdowns main eventers had all been getting injured over the past year and Raw had to compensate by giving them Kane and then WWE's best talent Edge. The draft was there to compensate Raw for it's losses over the year.

Id like to see them do some sort of hispanic group- a bit like LAX, with Chavo, Carlito and Cabana. Could work quite well and they could tie it in with that segment where Carlito starting ranting in Spanish (i think its Spanish?!) if they could send Carlito to Smackdown it couldfreshen up the mid card

Hold on, you're complaining that they took main eventers away and didn't replace them, but you also want them to give more time and exposure to the cruiserweights? You can't have it both ways!

How do you know they're not gonna give more time to cruisers now there's less main eventers to take up the time?

Yes, and they were pushing the cruiserweight title quite a bit until recently when they had to pointlessly give it to Chavo just to keep him a bit of heat after Benoit buried him.

Didn't they try that with the Mexicool's who got zero reaction.

I think Smackdown needs to see two big factions again like Nation vs Ministry, but fresh and without the 'Attitude', just a good wrestling feud.

This will disguise greens like Kenny without putting them into a team and it will no doubt make a few new stars.

Both factions to start as neutrals and let the fans decide over time who should be face and who should be heel.

Good?

I dont see how Helms defending it about 6 times in a year was giving it a push...

For any other title I'd agree, but Helms as champion was definatly a push for the cruiserweight title

Agreed, Helms was something different to the cruisers and I think actuallyb got decent heat from a crowd and pushed the title into a higher position. Chavo just hasn't done anything and never will becuase he can't make a decent promo to save his life. If you have to have your dad come in to give you a personality push then you ain't the world best talker.....

Am I the only one who found this funny?

If it's good enough for Randy Orton, then it's good enough for Chavo. I'm just wondering how long it'll be before Carlito's dad shows up.
