TPIB 62
Credit: WWE.com RAW returns to its regular time of 9/8 CT on USA as the flagship emanates from the American Airlines Center in Dallas. Big news from the desk of Executive Assistant Jonathan Coachman: He has scheduled a Vengeance Rematch for RAW, as Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella will once again face the Samoan Bulldozer, Umaga [for the Intercontinental Championship]. Their match at Vengeance was stopped by the referee, as Umaga brutalized the Milan Miracle and was disqualified for ignoring the referee's five-count. The beating continued post-match, as the super-heavyweight crushed the ribs of the champion with a splash from the top rope. Will Marella manage to rebound and keep the miracle alive Monday night, or will Umaga once again wear Intercontinental gold? Tune in at 9/8 CT on USA to find out. Conf. Matches/Events Vengeance Fallout Intercontinental Championship: Vengeance Rematch: Santino Marella © Vs. Umaga *Reminder: RAW will be postponed on August 27'th to the 11/10c timeslot, due to the U.S. Open on the USA Network* (RAW, SmackDown!, & ECW will all be taped on Monday Night in Dallas) I expect Umaga to regain the Intercontinental Title, they already had Marella weasel out of it at Vengeance, surely they wouldn't do it two straight? Guest FreeSpirit
Well hopefully its business as usual for RAW this week, and after a heartbreaking week for everyone at WWE, the Superstars can put this whole Benoit tragedy behind them, and come out to entertain us all yet again. Nimf 324
By the way, didn't WWE tape ECW last Monday from Corpus Christi?I doubt it as they'd turned everyone away for the Benoit tribute, didn't they? So unless they brought everyone BACK again to record it, then no.
TPIB 62
Yeah, I guess I didn't think of that. I guess they're either going to air it live or they taped it in San Antonio. Anyways, just a little note that I found interesting. I was looking around on WWE's Schedule and it shows that the ECW/SmackDown! Tapings are going to be from Atlanta on Sep. 18'th. I just found that interesting.
Murph 93
Weren't they always being held in Atlanta, though?
TPIB 62
Weren't they always being held in Atlanta, though? I assume so, yes, but I'm just surprised they didn't reschedule it. Maybe they think this whole thing will blow over by then. A Vengeance Rematch has been announced for RAW as Santino Marella will defend the Intercontinental Title against Umaga (again). I didn't see it, but I thought he won.
wyndorf 389
Umaga got DQ'd in about 12 seconds. He then kicked seven buckets of poo out of Santino - much to the crowds delight.

Guest SuperKick Kid
I smell Elimination Chamber EDIT: Nevermind. Regal incharge = Awesome. I kinda was hoping he'd be the 6th man in the Elimination Chamber. Edited July 3, 2007 by SuperKick Kid

Guest Drake
Ok, I have a few things to say. 1.) I'm really glad to see that Mr.Kennedy is back and healthy. 2.) Cena is the most un-funny guy in the ENTIRE WWE roster. His "jokes" just make me cringe. 3.) "That's King BOKAAAHHHH to you". Having King Bokaahh on RAW reeks of awesomeness. Plus, I think he will be Cena's next challenger. 4.) Lashley is still the most un-charismatic guy in the WWE roster. I can't express how un-entertaining I find the guy. 5.) Randy is the coolest thign since Johny Nitro. Plus, he is sporting some new cool tatoos. 6.) Regal as the temporary comissioner rules. He should be given the position full-time. Dead Crow 370
I still don't fathom why WWE continue to give their best promo guy (Cena) such stupid lines. I've seen some of them and they just sound horrible, and this is from a Cena fan. I just can't fathom who writes these and why that person is still employed. Seriously, just let Cena go out, ad-lib a promo, prove why he is the best promo guy in wrestling today, and then the rest will fall into place. Guest DanielFullard
Orton v Hardy was decent enough but its yet another example of the WWE giving away a match on TV that they could have saved for a PPV.
Guest Drake
I get an inmediate orgasm everytime Orton RKO's someone. I don't know what has gotten into him but as of late his RKO's have just been beauty's and perfectly timed.
TPIB 62
I thought RAW was decent this week (I realize I say that every week for every show). The Beat The Clock concept is kind of neat, but it seems done a little too often. I am dissapointed that Lashley is the #1 Contender (even though I read it before RAW went on the air). I was hoping for Cena/Booker or Cena/Orton. Cena/Booker would make sense as Booker won the World Title at last year's Bash (even though we all know he wouldn't win the WWE Title). I believe that Cena/Orton will happen at SummerSlam for a similar reason to Cena/Booker. Cena/Orton will happen at SummerSlam and will conclude with Orton winning the WWE Title (which is what Trips wants), which would make sense, seeing as he won the World Heavyweight Title at SummerSlam 2004. Makes sense to me, anyways. On a little side note, Lilian Garcia is finally back to being the RAW Ring Announcer, which is good, not that Justin Roberts isn't, but I was beginning to wonder if Garcia would ever return or not. Speaking of Triple H, I am excited for his return. While I may not agree with his backstage pull and everything, I do like the character he portrays. Whether heel or face, Triple H is the best in the business at what he does. Of course, the question is: When will he return? One has to think it would be sooner than later, but will it be on RAW or will it be at a PPV? No one has really reported a date for his return. I was wondering, what prompted WWE to show their "Don't Try This At Home" PSA on RAW? I just have to note that Rick Achberger (The Sign Guy) was in attendance at RAW and he was in that section of the audience where you can be seen for a good portion of the show. I didn't see him with any signs and he seemed to be quite displeased over something, however, I did enjoy his 'antics' during the Carlito/Sandman match where he put a paper bag (with eye holes cut out) over his head and pretended to drink a beer. I'm not sure if it was to make a statement or if he was just being entertaining. Jeff/Orton was a good match to me, possibly the match of the night. Anyways, I am personally glad that Marella is no longer the Intercontinental Champion. With every passing week, I hated Marella more and more. While I'm not exactly Umaga's biggest fan, he's alot better than Marella. I expect Umaga to hold the title for quite some time, even though I'm disapointed that Regal didn't beat Marella for the title, I'm sure he will get the IC Title at some point, I hope. Booker/Venis was decent, but when Val's music hit, you knew who was going to win. Granted all the BTC matches were like that. I wish WWE would put them up against opponents who make you question if the superstar would win. Have somebody face Snitsky or something. I was looking forward to Kennedy's in-ring return, until he jobbed to Crazy in like 30 seconds. Are you honestly telling me that Crazy is the best the WWE could come up with. Have him face someone who's considered a plausable opponent. There's plenty of superstars who aren't doing anything at the time. Carlito/Sandman felt like a waste of time (probably because it was). Is it wrong of me to hope that Sandman will fall down during his entrance at some point? I will admit that there backstage bit was pretty good. Lashley/Benjamin? How does that make any sense? Shouldn't Benjamin be with Haas? That would make more sense. I am looking forward to Dusty Rhodes Vs. Randy Orton next week, that should be quite interesting. I fully expect Cody to get involved on his dad's behalf. I will say that Cody is a good talker. He did a good job of it at the Hall of Fame Ceremony. I don't know if anyone picked up on this, but RAW ended about 5 minutes earlier than it typically does. By my watch, it was past the hour. Speaking of RAW, what was with the audio sounding like it was coming out of an old-time radio? RAW Overall- 6/
Guest The Beltster
I only watched the short clips on WWE.com, cant be bothered with the whole show, so I'll comment only on what I've seen: Christ, Cena's promos are getting more false, contrived and pathetic each week. The face to face with Lashley in the ring might have been the most obviously scripted load of bollocks I've EVER heard, it was cringe-worthy. Also, why does Cena ALWAYS, in EVERY feud, go face to face and hold his belt up to the side. Its identical every time he does a face off, up comes the little spinny belt. I'm so tired of that poster shot. Glad Umaga regained from the utterly worthless Marella. I had to laugh too, at how WWE jumped the gun on Kennedy, gave away his MITB and screwed up his push completely, LOL! Awesome, Kennedy sucks so its funny to see WWE have to scramble to try and fix it. Edited July 3, 2007 by The Beltster
Guest Twig
Glad Umaga regained from the utterly worthless Morella. But-a he's-a got-a himself-a the very best-a accente du Italliano! Yeah, he's an average worker, burdened with bad booking. Not a lot of places for him to go.
Omega 354
I haven't watched RAW yet but caught the Hype video for Trips on WWE.com and I have to say I hope he uses the music they had for that as his new entrance theme! The mis between "my time" and "the Game" was superb, I loved "my Time" as I thought it was the best entrance music ever so I'd be stoked if he went back to some version of it..... Guest The Beltster
HHH used that mix for a couple of months in 1999 or 2000, right before he switched to the Motorhead version, its not new. It is cool. I expect him to just come out to his regular music when he comes back though.
Guest Christof
Well at the start of the show I was interested, even a tad excited at the prospect of a Kennedy / Cena summer program, then of course by the end of the show we have Lashley & Cena instead. Shame really, but Kennedy should be ready by WM24 if they put some mileage into him with regards to decent feuds. Randy Orton is an interesting pick for Cody Rhodes' first feud, could be intriguing.
