I thought this tournament deserved it's own thread seeing as its a major football tournament, and coverage of all the matches are available on Sky Sports over the next 3 weeks.

My money is on Brazil to win for a 2nd successive time, although Argentina, and outsiders like Mexico, Ecuador, United States, Uraguay, Paraguay and even Venezuela will have something to say about that I feel.

Anyway the action gets underway this Tuesday Live on Sky Sports 1 at 10pm with a Group A double header of Uraguay Vs Peru, and hosts Venezuala Vs Bolivia.

I'm not sure about Brazil winning, their squad looks weak compared to Argentina's,who I would fancy to go on and win this.

Yeah, I'd have to go with the Argies too. They were the best team at last year's World Cup, they now a better coach amd they've named a strong squad for the tournament.

As for the rest: it would obviously be foolish to write off Brazil, but some of their bigger stars aren't in the squad, and they do look quite weak compared to Argentina. I also really don't fancy Mexico that much. The tournament has never been won by a team from outside South America and the Mexicans lost to Honduras just two weeks ago. I'd actually rate the USA as being the better North American team, though the Americans have unfortunately found themselves in the tournament's Group of Death.

I quite fancy Venezeula as outsiders. They've got home advantage and a relatively easy group. Uruguay also seem certain to qualify from their group and Diego Forlan's been on fire lately, so they might be worth a bet. Paraguay and Colombia are both in the toughest group, so I wouldn't back them to win either. Ecuador did well in the World Cup, but I don't think they're good enough to win the tournament. Neither are Peru, Chile or Bolivia. Then again, I'd have said Greece weren't good enough to win the European Championships and look what happened there.

I'm really looking forward to this.

The smart money would obviously be on either Brazil or Argentina, and rightly so. Their squads are notably stronger than the rest, more so Argentina. However, Uruguay aren't to be taken lightly, and if one of the so called weaker teams were to cause an upset, I fancy it to be them. Diego Forlan has been in great form this season and Recoba is decent too.

But yeah, it's more than likely that Argentina or Brazil will win it.

My money is on Argentina. They have the best squad on paper and the coach to win this whole thing.

I also wouldn't write Colombia off. They always seem to put good performances. Plus they have a heated rivalry with the Argies that goes back to 1990, so for me, Colombia vs. Argentina is the game to watch.

I would go for argentina brazil really haven't got there full strength squad but that doesnt mean they won't win it. but i think argentina's squad is up and ready for the tounament and they will show some good team work through out the game's.

Write off Brazil at your peril folks.

Everyone did the same at the 2002 World Cup claiming Argentina would win the tournament and Brazil's squad was weak, and look what happened there.

Dont worry Biggie I got the World Cup 2002 DVD here (my pride and joy which I must have watched about 100 times now). To this day I'm surprised that South Korea made it to the Semi Finals, I remember at the time most people were complaining of a conspiracy after the Italy and Spain matches. :lol

Anyway back to the Copa America, I really hope Brazil do win it as I've always loved their style of attacking football, its sexy football at its finest. I remember the last Copa America Final they beat Argentina on penalties after scoring an extra time injury time equaliser.

The South Korea team and the referee's were a complete and utter rob. Spain and Italy got freaking robbed at the WC 2002. I get so f'n angry everytime I watch videos involving those two games that it's freaking unbelivable.

PS: How freaking sexy does Rino look with that long hair. :lol
