Too true, when I first thought about getting a cert I got a visit from a skilstrain guy who had all this crap about what you'd earn and stuff. He even said that he'd got an mcdst but actually preferred to sell for Skillstrain!

 

Still this is what I need to get out of admin and into IT at an entry level and once thats started then it's just a case of learning more and climbing the ladder!

Congrats Hope you achieve your ambitions but be careful not to get your hopes up too high. I have a computing Degree and can not get a job in the IT field (probably as I am a girl) just take care. Do not want to see someone else get disillusioned like me!

No worries, I know that there aren't jobs out there just waiting for me, having spoken to other people seems like if you aren't sending out 10 applications a day then you probably can't expect to get call backs.

 

I found this site http://www.certforums.co.uk a really excellent resource for my studying but they have lots of help for trying to find jobs....

I'll mail you a copy. Basically Burak worked for a firm where the MD's wife worked for a CV / recruitment company so gave people a great format for a CV. In the last three months it's got new jobs for Burak, Me and the Mrs!
