Are you afraid of death?

Simple really,are you afraid of dying? And what happens to you then?

 

Do you think that thats it and your just gone,or do you believe in an after life? Heaven and hell? Will we come back as something else? Do we actually know we are dead?

I think something happens after you die; either afterlife or reincarnation.

 

That's what I believe although in terms of logic..we probably just die and that's the end of it.

Life after death is probably nothing more than wish fulfilment, as we would like to think that something carries on when we've gone. The thought of ceasing to exist scares the crap out of me.

Im not sacred of dying as i believe i will go to heaven and be with God. I do go slightly against my beliefs as i believe in spirts and would not touch a wigi (sp) board if my life depended in it as they a plain freaky. Back on topic not afaid to die as i know i will be going to a better place.

I believe in reincarnation but also the caste system/karma and angels. I have a very mish mash type of belief system. I'm complicated.

I'm afraid of dying and I hope it doesn't come anytime soon, as I have too much to live for. To think that my life could be snubbed out at anytime is quite a disturbing thought.

 

What happens after you die is probably nothing, it's the end of your existance forever I think. No afterlife, no reincarnation.

That's pretty much what I think, but I try not to think about it. I'll live my life to the fullest, and hopefully by the time death comes knocking on my door, i'll have no unfinished business. :)

Yeh I am scared of dying. The thought of leaving this life behind is something I don't even like to think about. However I think what about the future? If I live till about 80 and i'm sitting in a home doing nothing day and night, will I be bothered then?

 

I wonder about life after death though, i'd like to think something happens, like you live in another place but I doubt it and would imagine just the end.

I belive in an afterlife of sorts. Not that it matters, death holds no fear for me whatsoever. Heck, if when we die there is nothing I still have no worries.

I have no fear of death, I don't believe in an afterlife or anything like that. Its just not something worth thinking about, if there is nothing after this then you wouldn't know you were dead anyway.

I was talking about this the other day with a friend and was saying maybe when you die you just keep repeating your live over and over.

 

Like when you get the feeling of deja vu,and you get the feeling that you have seen/done that thing already,maybe its because you have.

Just had a thought-there's a big difference between the fear of death and the fear of dying. Death itself is an absolute, a final thing. Where as dying could be long and painful or happen when you're just starting yourlife. Dying scares me, death-not so much.

I'm actually quite looking forward to what happens after you die. It's one of them things, like where is the end of the universe?, that i think about and ponder when i'm bored so finding out would answer a lot of questions for me.

What the hell happens after death if there is no afterlife?

 

Is it just nothingness???? What happens to my concious self, do I just cease to exist and become nothingness????

 

The thought of nothingness scares the hell out of me. I think its because the human mind cant really comprehend nothingness.

 

Life just cant be organics and such, there has to be some sort of soul.

 

So, I think there has to be an afterlife.

 

But the possibility of my concious mind just switching off and there being just nothingness is what scares me about death.

 

Dying is going into the unknown. And the unknown can be really scary.
