ViciousPrism 177
first of all thanks for all your messages wishing Saraya good luck. Its easier to post on here, so all know the outcome. I am afraid the news from the hospital is not good, She has severed a tendon and is having surgery in the next few hours, she will be in hospital for a few days and will be out of wrestling many months, those of you who know Saraya will know how badly she has taken the news but she joins me in thanking everyone for their kindness and support shown tonight and promises to come back even stronger. rick knight. surgeons have worked on Saraya's knee and the diagnosis is not good, there is a strong possibility her career is over, if the ***** who left the ripped up coke can on the floor happens to read this, thanks. Source: WAW Fan Forum This is a shock to me, I wish Saraya well in her recovery.

ViciousPrism 177
I guess that's the catalyst to the injury.
Guest Devilish Angel
Ive never heard of it her,but its sad to hear. And whats the story about the can of coke? I'm guessing that there was a ripped up coke can on the floor, she landed on it and severed a tendon. :( It's amazing how stupid some wrestling fans are, I mean fancy leaving a ripped up coke can on the floor. I hope Sayara gets well soon.
ViciousPrism 177
More info on the injury As Ricky Knight said - Saraya is out for the next 5-6 months if not more, if she comes back any sooner.....wow. Her knee cap was completley ripped off, we had some photo's taken while doctors were taken a look at it and we'l show you them soon. You also need to see the scars and cuts and bruises that are etched all over Saraya's body - I wasn't there at the venue to see the match and I could feel the pain! Saraya kept on telling me at the hospital that she was gonna be there tomorrow. Ricky Knight went after Melissa after Melissa kept on attacking the knee AFTER the kneecap had been ripped off so.....lot of emotions as far as that concerned and I'll be honest with you from a professional standpoint I don't think we can put those two together again. Same building is one thing that both can live with but thats probably about it.[/Quote] Source: UKFF
DC 536
It's amazing how stupid some wrestling fans are, I mean fancy leaving a ripped up coke can on the floor.I'm hoping it was stupidity rather than maliciousness that resulted in the can being there. The fact it was a ripped can (rather than crushed) makes the cynic in me think that a fan (or group of fans) were hoping someone would land on it and cut themselves. A ripped can is very sharp, almost scalpel sharp sometimes.
Guest Al Stevens
From playing football and cutting my leg open on a field with a ripped beer can i will be the first to say it's a complete supprise how quick it can shred skin. However hopefully Sweet Saraya's career isn't over and she can make a full recovery, because from what i have seen on TWC Fight of her she is a pretty decent female wrestler. Guest Saz
It is the risk we take as wrestlers whenever we go into the ring that something might ruin our careers. I'm sure that Saraya, like us all, knew the risks but did it because she loved wrestling so much that she put her body on the line to entertain fans. I hope she can continue and get better and I also hope that those cynics out there read it and think about what wrestlers actually risk everytime to entertain the fans. We take risks, but a fan leaving a ripped coke can on the outside (I'm assuming it was on the outside) is not a risk you should be prepared to take. She loves wrestling, but unless she was in a garbage match, there should be no risk expected in regards to sharpened metal.

Whatever your opinion about my sincerity is, I was most sincere, I meant what I said and wouldn't have said it if I hadn't meant it. I'll try my best not to take that as a full faced insult. I'll try my best not to take that as a full faced insult. It wasn't meant as an insult to your sincerity, but you do have a tendency to take the whole "kayfabe" routine a bit to seriously, which makes people wonder if it's actually you, or your wrestling persona, doing the posting. I don't doubt you're sincere in your concern for her wellbeing, but the way you worded it was more like a press-release than a person saying their own opinion on the matter. She ripped her kneecap off on a ripped-up can that was thrown on the outside of the ring.....is that a risk you trained and prepared for? I doubt it, because I know I never trained to take a ripped-up can to the knee, so how can it be a risk she would have accepted? She was injured due to either recklessness or maliciousness on a fan's part, nothing to do with the risks she, and I, have accepted in doing what we do. Guest Saz
*sigh* ok, here we go... You do have a tendency to take the whole "kayfabe" routine a bit to seriously, which makes people wonder if it's actually you, or your wrestling persona, doing the posting. Kayfabe routine? Believing in the traditions of wrestling is not a crime you know, I understand that a lot of people here are people who believe they know enough about wrestling to research any answer to prove me wrong. So What? What does my belief in Wrestling have to do with my sincerity? I don't doubt you're sincere in your concern for her wellbeing, but the way you worded it was more like a press-release than a person saying their own opinion on the matter. I am very sorry if my prose seems like an advertisement slogan to you, unfortunately I was also very sincere about the body on the line for fans. Wrestlers do that, that is the risk that they take and sometimes fans take it for granted. So once again I feel my sincerity in question. She ripped her kneecap off on a ripped-up can that was thrown on the outside of the ring.....is that a risk you trained and prepared for? I doubt it, because I know I never trained to take a ripped-up can to the knee, so how can it be a risk she would have accepted? I haven't trained to do that either and that is why I didn't mention the word training once in my opinion of the matter. What I did say is that a wrestler takes a risk everytime they wrestle, a stray bolt, a trapdoor breaking on the British Bulldog, a boot to the face from goldberg and a coke can thrown on the floor. Anything can happen. She was injured due to either recklessness or maliciousness on a fan's part, nothing to do with the risks she, and I, have accepted in doing what we do. But it is, a can could be thrown into the ring or outside whilst you were fighting, audience members have stabbed wrestlers before. Bad guys are always on the look out for the old lady with the handbag. External risks, it's what being insured is all about. If you want to continue to insist on being right, please pm me to discuss and let the thread continue discussing Saraya and her wellbeing please. You have your opinions on what is right and what is wroing in professional wrestling and I have mine. You probably got your ideology of wrestling from your dad, Giant Haystacks.:lol
Guest Ronin
i think it is sad when any wrestler suffers injuries like this and i hope she makes a speedy recovery. we wrestlers do take risks and these injuries will happen thankfully not to often. all the best to saraya
