Inspired by the quality, but fubar Lemon Jelly song of the same name, and by the even better British weather, i was just wondering if anybody has been affected by the floods of the last week or so, and also what people are planning to do? Im seriously considering getting a dingy to paddle around in, its THAT wet at the moment....

Hope everyone's ok, and noones house has been badly affected, because having seen some of the people on the news, its been absolutely dreadful. A months rainfall in a day in some areas and a tornado in Dudley.

Any thoughts?

Had to almost swim to the boys school yesterday morning, i got very soggy. Bar that, it has just made a small leak in the kids room into a LARGE leak.

Thats the first time i've heard a girl complaing about something small being made into something large..........alledgedly.:lol

It's mad here. Yesterday we had bad rain and my mum was driving through water in town that went up to the bonet. It's been pretty crazy today, started off really nice then hammered it down, then brightened up, now it's raining and I can hear Thunderstorms just starting now. Please stop :(

It's not bad here. It's not been particularly sunny, but it has been really warm lately, pretty muggy. I'm guessing it won't be long until we have a thunder storm.

Currently it's a bit overcast, light breeze and warm. :)

It's been raining solidly since wednesday, which meant going to uni wasnt much fun, but today it's been dry, even sunny earlier.

It's been crazy lately, our backyard was completely flooded, a good 5 inches deep, the water was! I was looking at it out the window, and I noticed a lone sock floating around. :lol

Today it's nice though, not overly sunny but it's bright. Normal.

it stops me form having to water the garden and the plants, so i'm loving it

and why do we say 'nice weather for ducks'? ducks are always in the water anyway, so why would it benefit them getting their top halves wet? this came up at work the other day and it made me ponder

It aint been too bad here considering we're right on the coast and normally get the downpours first, been overcast all week but brightened up every night about 6pm today has been lush caught a bit of a tan walking down town which was nice, was beach weather really but too busy to go to beach got loads of washing dried on the line for the first time in ages, so I aint got no complaints about the weather FOR ONCE.

For once I can relate to you lot about the weather!

Its been bucketing pretty much non-stop for 10 days, torrential rain and freezing cold, just horrible. There have been massive floods on the Central Coast, north of Sydney. A couple of people have died after a bit of the Princes Highway collapsed, and there is a huge mother of a rig stuck on a beach somewhere there. And whats worse, I had to play goalkeeper at football on Thursday and freeze/drown. Tis 'orrible.

Had a phone call off my Nainy yesterday, she left a message on the answer machine saying, basically "I thought I better call and see how you were. I watched the news and it had all this stuff about floods. I thought I better check you're not all flooded and had to move out of your house". I called back and laughingly managed to say that, not only would I have let her know, but if I HAD moved out, then I wouldn't have got her message...

I don't know exactly which part of the area he lives in but there was a lot of rain overall around Dublin and Dublin County.
