Guest Dan
Sensational Sherri passes away Sherri Russell aka Sensational Sherri Martel passed away, believed to be this morning at home. She was 49. No other details are available at the moment. In 1991, while managing Randy Savage, Sherri was the only woman ever to win the Manager of the Year award. http://www.wrestlingobserver.com/wo/news/headlines/default.asp?aID=19881 I'm totally gutted. Guest FreeSpirit
That's terrible news: I am happy I got to see her inducted into the Hall Of Fame last year, but my thoughts are with her family and friends at the moment.

Guest Dan
I think its fair to say Sherri was one of the greatest wrestling managers of all time. She was much more than a valet, with all due respect to the divas of today, they don't even come close to Sherri, in my opinion she was the true first lady of wrestling. She could do a good promo, was a great manager, she was a good in ring wrestler and took some pretty harsh bumps when needed.
Guest Christof
49, that's no age to die. RIP.

I have a tape of her in the WWF were they have no commentators and it has a mic on her and camera basically watched her. You don't realise how much she did, then you watch someone like Ashley do it and you wish they were like her. The nearest thing to it these days was probably Melina bar the good promo
DC 536
That's a damn shame. It'll be interesting to see how WWE handle this if they acknowledge the passing with a tribute on the TV shows. Seeing as how this is a real death, compared to the on-screen death of Mr. Mcmahon. R.I.P. Sherri.
Dead Crow 370
I'll be honest, I saw it coming. Doesn't make it any less sad though. Especially since she was really hot at the HoF ceremony and I wanted to bone her. At least she can't say no now, I guess. But seriously, Rest In Peace. Great manager, an innovator of her time, and a huge loss to the business.

Guest Gooneronastick
RIP Sensational One. :( I'm totally shocked. 49 is too young to go to the squared circle in the sky but what a team Sherri and Eddie will make up there. :)
Dead Crow 370
how? Call it a premonition. Admittedly, I hadn't pinpointed this very date, but I had a hunch that something might kick off within the year. Sadly, it was an extreme kick. Guest Laffy
RIP Sheri! - loved the Hall of fame induction it takes alot to make Ric Flair cringe, loved her interaction with Dibiase and Savage.
Guest Sparrow
I was a little shocked when I saw this in the corner of the Gerweck.net screen. RIP Sheri
Guest Kanenite
That's a real shocker. She was a great manager, at the HOF last year she was great, really entertaining and seemed so full of life, i'm so glad she was inducted while she was. RIP Sensational Sherri. Guest The Beltster
Sherri was THE greatest female performer in the history of the business bar none and without question, what a shame another one of my favourites didnt last until they were 50. I expect the years of booze finally caught up with the Sensational one. Some of the clueless hags WWE employ right now should look back at tapes of Sherri to see just how amazing a female performer can be without having to be eye candy etc. She bumped like a man and lived life on the road like one of the boys, she was awesome! RIP, scarey Sherri Oh, and on a side note, I hope it makes Vince feel like a tw*t that he is running his own bogus death angle right now. F'n jerk.
