TPIB 62
As you've all probably heard and/or seen, WWE & J.A. are running an angle for SummerSlam. I personally think WWE maybe making a mistake. I remember when Umaga "attacked" Steve-O and Chris Pontius on RAW and they kept laughing and acting all-around stupid and it looked god-awful. Not to mention, Steve-O's unstable frame of mind and the fact that he doesn't know anything about wrestling or the WWE. I am still a little bothered by his commercial for being part of the "RAW Fan Nation". Maybe I'm being hard on him, but I think WWE should seek genuine fans (on the commercial, Steve-O not only goes nuts, but also says things like "kicking your enemy", calling the wrestling arenas, stadiums, stating that WWE sells out arenas [which they do, but not always], and refers to a moonsault as a backflip). Steve-O is definetly on something or needs to be. To add to my point, here is a post Steve-O made on his MySpace (I'm surprised he knows how to use a computer, I always imagined him using one like Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson do in Zoolander): Steve-O recently wrote the following on his MySpace blog: "As for upsetting the WWE, too bad for them-- they're stuck plastering the television screen with [summerSlam] commercial, starring only me (representing the entire cast by myself ) and Umaga, promoting the Pay Per View event. As for "almost shutting down the Jackass match", that's just hype to let everyone know we're comng (sic). As for the choke-outs, Ryan Dunn choked me out six times in one day. Umaga actually knows what he's doing, he's very capable of safely choking me out, and he's the current champion of the WWE, of course I was a complete nightmare for those people doing everything in and out of my power to get footage of Umaga choking me out, and then have him sign a release form, which I was packing on the bod." WWE did come close to pulling the plug on the whole storyline as they felt Steve-O was acting very disrespectful backstage, filming things for his own personal use. I inserted brackets around what I added to it, but somewhere after he said that "Ryan Dunn choked me out six times", he lost me. The way he talks (or doesn't), it seems like he is saying that Umaga had to sign a release to "choke" him. Wouldn't it be the other way around? Guest dpddave
Steve O is funny but hes got no business being in the WWE. Anyone who seen him on love island a couple of years will know this,he did nothing but complain for a couple of days, respected nobody and then walked of the show in a huff. WWE needs to be very careful here, because if he dis-respects the wrong guy in the locker room he'll get his jaw broke.

Steve-O is a moron who's made a good living doing dumb sh*t to himself. Don't get me wrong, I like some of the stuff Jackass does, but Steve-O is a lamer. Steve-O can and has taken a worse beating than 90% of the WWE locker room. The guys burned his face when he lit his head on fire and did a back flip, he's jumped off countelss buildings, into poolsyea mind you, but Shane's never taken a big bump that wasn't into a stunt crash mat covered in drywall. I think he's already paid his bumping dues, but he's still a silly, in your face weird guy. He's breaks social norms, and pisses people off. Hell even Chris Pontius though he was an annoying butthole when they first met.

As far as Jackass stunts go, I, too am a fan of it, to an extent, but some of the stuff is just disgusting and senseless. When the "crew" were blowing airhorns at golfers, that was good or when Johnny Knoxville took off on a giant rocket, that was good. Some of the other things (which I'm pretty sure I can't mention here) are just wrong. What Steve-O does doesn't require any talent, mind you. Besides Knoxville & Margera, Steve is/was the most popular on the Jackass crew, but note that he hasn't stepped up any. Knoxville is an actor and Margera has a couple of shows under his belt and is an accomplished skateboarder. Steve is simply out of it in more ways than one. WWE is making a big mistake. Guest Jimmy Redman
Would y'all please listen to Twig? Its completely fine for Steve O to be a disrespectful jerk backstage, because he's a disrespectful jerk all the time. I mean if Mick Foley can do it so can he. We all know how Mick Foley got to be a famous wrestler by jumping off his house, not working the indies and WCW for over a decade before donning the sock and winning the WWF Title. Not that I think he's useless either, of course he can take bumps like crazy, and he is famous. But being disrespectful to wrestling/wrestlers isnt cool, especially if he's got the job of promoting the match by himself, he better not screw it up, with the excuse being that he's 'zany' and 'high'. Guest Twig
No guys, I'm sorry the answer the judges were looking for regarding Mick Foley's fame would be wreslting Terry Funk in an NO ROPE exploding barbwire fireboard timebomb deathmatch to win the IWA King of the Deathmatch. Thanks for playing see you all next time. ;) What I'm saying is that I don't think Steve-O is being a disrespectful jerk. He already has a mainstream TV persona, which people expect him to reflect. He didn't sign a deal with WWE to be a whole new character, he's appearing as Steve-O. Just like everyone believed Mike Tyson's knock out punch to kick off the attitude era, because he already had an established "character" of being a heavyweight famous boxer, so should Steve-O's ability to laugh at pain be understood. It's what he does. He was rolling on the mats, in his match with Umaga, laughing at the horrificly imense abount of pain he was in. That's what I saw, that's whay I'll be arguing. To be honest, I've seen that Raw "incident" a couple times now, and I dont have a problem with it. They got smacked, they recovered and laughed, they got smacked some more for laughing. No biggie. I meant more being a dick backstage, trying to get peeps to choke him for his own videos and generally doing things to ruin his involvment in SS. I know he's supposed to be Steve-O on TV. Guest dpddave
There is more and more negative sentiment regarding the 'Jackass' idea at SummerSlam. Triple H wants none of the top stars to have anything to do with them. There is also a push to limit their involvement to one match instead of the proposed three. Partial Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter Edit - i just wasted my 500 post on jackass :(
