TPIB 62
Credit: WWE.com At the end of RAW last week, Mr. McMahon was presumed killed in a horrific limo explosion — a moment that will forever taint what was otherwise a historic WWE Draft. As RAW heads into the Coliseum in Richmond, VA this Monday night, it's Superstars must cope with the fact that WWE’s Chairman is for all intents gone, his body seemingly lost in the flames that engulfed his limousine. It’s hard to focus past the black cloud that has encircled World Wrestling Entertainment all week long. No one will speak ill of the deceased, though it was apparent after last week’s “Mr. McMahon Appreciation Night” that many of WWE’s Superstars, our fans and numerous celebrities saw him as a pathetic, power-mad dictator. But now that he’s gone, what exactly does he leave behind? And how will it affect RAW’s Superstars in Richmond this Monday night? As for the WWE Draft itself, last week RAW said goodbye to The Great Khali, Torrie Wilson, Chris Masters and Ric Flair; however RAW also welcomed its newest Superstars to the roster: King Booker, Queen Sharmell, Snitsky, Mr. Kennedy and Bobby Lashley. Needless to say, all will have a profound impact on RAW in the coming weeks. However, Lashley — who was stripped of his ECW World Title after being randomly selected in the Draft — is planning to make his mark a little quicker than the rest. He had already established a strong RAW presence during his rivalry with Mr. McMahon over the past few months; does he have an advantage over the other “newcomers” as they enter the Richmond Coliseum this Monday? In the ashes of tragedy, life begins anew on RAW, Monday night at 9/8 CT on USA. Richmond, VA- Mickie James' Hometown Conf. Matches/Events "First RAW Without Mr. McMahon" Possible RAW Return of Snitsky, Daivari, King Booker, & William Regal Possible RAW Debut of Lashley, Paul London, Brian Kendrick, Queen Sharmell, Jillian, Sandman & Mr. Kennedy I am aware that Lashley, Sharmell, & Kennedy have appeared on RAW before, but I am talking in terms of their debut as RAW Superstars. With that said, WWE has talked like Kennedy isn't ready to return yet. Also, the RAW returns and debuts stated above are just assumed by me (seeing as Booker is in the WWE Title match at Vengeance, I expect him and Sharmell to show). It's hard to believe, but Vengeance is this Sunday night (June 24'th). I say that it's hard to believe because only two (as of the post date for this thread) matches of the nine have been announced (Edge Vs. Batista in a Last Chance Match for the World Heavyweight Title and Cena Vs. Orton Vs. Foley Vs. Booker Vs. Lashley in a Challenge Match for the WWE Title). Which means that WWE has three shows to announce seven additional matches. Edited June 18, 2007 by TPIB
Guest The Great Ahmar
It would be so cool if Regal became GM. He and Cocah bickering all the time and trying to out do each other some how could lead to some great TV.
TPIB 62
No question. Although I think it'd be cool, also, if they reverted Regal back to being the Commisioner, complete with an office and everything. This time around he's be the RAW Commissioner, however. With the U.S. Title Match that was confirmed for Vengeance, it makes me wonder if WWE will do the same with the Intercontinental Title and have the challenger be one of the new draft picks (which would also be a good thing for Regal). Guest The Genetic Jackhammer
I would rather Regal wrestled to be honest although I did quite enjoy his 'commisinor' role. This Raw should make for some intersesting viewing. Will we find out that little 'genius' Honrswoggle is behind the tragic death of God himself Vincent Kennedy Mc Mahon?? Guest dpddave
It wouldn't surprise me if it was Hornswoggle now i think of it.....leprechauns have a funny obsession with fire, those of you who've never spoken to one might not be aware of this... Guest Redneck Messiah
Did London mess up and not kick out on the two count and ref stopped the count during the tag match? I'm not sure I saw that correctly but it looked like London screwed up or was a little loopy from that Benjamin kick. Something seemed off on that count. Guest Craig
I've been flipping back and forth all night. Cryme Tyme and Ken Kennedy have been the only parts worth mentioning. Oh, and Jeff Hardy being a BIG STINKY JERK. Damn jerk. God, I hope they end this McMahon crap soon.

Oh, and Jeff Hardy being a BIG STINKY JERK. Damn jerk. God, I hope they end this McMahon crap soon. There is a 3 hours special next week, so I wouldn't get your hopes up. Plus, KENNEDYYYYYY has been the only good thing about RAW this week.
Guest Redneck Messiah
Kennedy cut a nice promo and love when he lambasted the crowd for the "what" chant :lol Didn't really understand why they did the concussion type thing with Foley although I missed the aftermath so maybe it was going somewhere storyline wise. Davari and Hardy had a decent match. The Sandman segment was quick but I guess they are setting him up to fued with Carlito which could be interesting if played out. Wow is all I can say on Melina's finishing move. AWESOME. I've enjoyed RAW for the most part tonight thus far although it's had it's bad points. The McMahon stuff is on overkill already. Wonder who's in the limo. I'd like to see it blow up again.
Guest dpddave
Wonder who's in the limo. Maybe we'll get lucky and it'll be vince and they'll end the whole story line!!! Ah a man can dream.....

Guest yoyo
King Bookah still has it. It's a shame that they didn't let him get the clean fall on Lashley or Cena. Then it would have been a great RAW. Glad to see Kennedy back as well. But I didn't find his promo that interesting at all. he just rambled on about Vince. Boring..... And I had to chuckle at Cena's "It might be the drunk guy in the bleachers" comment. Thats the Cena I used to know and love.
TPIB 62
In storyline terms, wouldn't it be deemed "disrespectful" of Cena to make jokes? Probably not. Anyways, I just wanted to touch on a few things from this week's RAW, as my usual long posts tend to ramble on and reitterate. First thing I want to mention is Lawler's mention of Paul London's face last week when he was grinning. It seems that this maybe a possible storyline. I thought it was a good RAW debut for London & Kendrick. Iron Sheik getting a talk show on RAW? That's instant entertainment right there. Speaking of instant entertainment, I still love Ron Simmons' appearances and thank science for Coachman repeating what Sheik said. You may not be able to understand about 80% of what he says, but him having a talk show segment is just entertaining, in my mind. I would say that WWE may follow through with another concussion angle for Mick Foley, although I'm not sure why. Granted, if it is/was a concussion angle then I would think Orton would've been involved. I find it amusing that Umaga pretty much missed all of Foley. Even though it changed rather quickly, that was quite the pop Kennedy got. Granted, I don't think it was as big a pop as Mickie James got. If my opinion counted in the WWE, I would demand more Mickie. A Melina/Mickie feud seems more "rewarding" than a Melina/Candice feud. Worst rendition of Amazing Grace I think I've ever heard by Jillian. Although it went unmentioned, the main event match was indeed Booker's return to in-ring action. The main event was okay, in my opinion. The main event scene on RAW is interesting now, if you ask me. I mean, you've got Cena (of course), Orton, Booker, & Lashley and I can't see any of them not being in the main event. Not to mention Triple H is en route to returning soon. Back to the main event of RAW, I do believe J.R. & "King" were incorrect (there's a shocker), because I seem to remember a feud on SmackDown! between Booker and Lashley, which culminated in Lashley being forced to kiss Booker's foot by Regal and Finlay and culminating in a match (I think). If it had been further in the angle, I would've strongly predicted Vince getting out of the limo. I don't think it's outside the realm of possibility that it'd turn out to be Stephanie who orchestrated her father's "demise" in order to inherite the company. They could cite her quote of the past saying that "we [shane & Stephanie] couldn't wait for you to die". I doubt it'll end up being the limo driver with the fake hair, but he sure came across as disengenous to McMahon's "memory". Yes, you heard it right, ladies and gentlemen, RAW will be a 3-hour special next week starting at 8/7c and it will be deemed as a "Celebration of Mr. McMahon" (and to a lesser degree, it'll be the RAW return of Snitsky). It seems like just last week we had a 3-hour special. The commercial mentioned that the McMahon investigation will be "widened". It's kind of a compelling angle, as it can really end in any given week. I kind of feel that Sherri's death should've been given more attention than it was. After the "In Memory Of" screen, I thought they was going to show a video of her career, but I guess that would've interfered with the fake death. It seems to take it down a notch in importance when they don't put it at the top of RAW, but that's just my opinion.
wyndorf 389
Chopped FULL of worthless matches - the main culprit being the main event featuring the horrible King Booker. Man, I wish he had never come back. Mr Kennedy failed to mention that he is an idiot who got his ass kicked by Edge. I haven't forgotten, though. What a loser. Umaga is back as an ass kicking machine, which is the only way he should be presented. He would have really been a wise pick to put on Smackdown! Regal is going to win the Intercontinental title and will be the best I.C. champ in about 3 years. By "going to" I mean "he'd better be". I still can't help but be intrigued by Vince's death. The opening of RAW kinda suggested (or came across) that it was all going to be done in a slap-stick kind of way. I guess that idea lasted 12 seconds because Jerry Lawler (who is actually worse than Michael Cole) started using his 'serious' voice for the rest of the show. OK, the angle didn't really do alot for me this week, but I still have high hopes. I really want to know what the blow-off is going to be. I want to see Stephanie naked. She has an interesting body, in which she kinda looks like a fatty, but I suspect she's not actually fat. Her breasts look very out of proportion in her ill fitting jumper. Hmmm......curious. Naitch 207
I think the main issues which came out of this Raw were: a. Relax people, the limo driver is FINE. 4. Bobby Lashley killed Vince McMahon because King Booker said Bobby Lashley killed Vince McMahon. e. William Regal's hair should be Intercontinental Champion muchless William Regal. That do is out of this world. Guy is swimming in, drinking from and having sex with a bevy of beauties in the fountain of youth, he looks the same as he did when he debuted in WCW 14 years ago. 69. The Hardy Boys are bigger fraudsters than Frank Abagnale Jnr. They've fooled everyone into thinking they're fine upstanding babyfaces. Cade and Murdoch weren't fooled though. z. Iron Sheik is the smartest man in wrestling. Disappear for a few years, return with a shoot rant about how you want to 'hawmble' Brian Blair, work everyone into thinking you're crazy (or crazier) by releasing another 879 of these rants, become a cult internet wrestling figure, get a spot on Monday Night Raw. Genius. @. There was literally ZERO response when Stephanie came out and they're already going in the wrong direction with this angle. It should really be black comedy, over the top, wink wink nudge nudge 'We know Vince isn't dead, you know Vince isn't dead, but play along here people' and they did that to an extent with Regal's promo on SD and Cryme Tyme's stuff on Raw but Stephanie doing a crappy, badly acted, daytime soap promo is the wrong thing to do. They had a pretty impactful start but they have to be careful with what they do from there and I'm still not sure how exactly they blow it off so that it leads to anything that'll draw money which would at least seem to be the point of it in the first place...I guess. Someone ran over Austin, ok, that has great potential to actually lead somewhere and even if they did screw it up doing a meaningless heel turn with a guy people just wanted to see dance in a thong, there was potential there for a money drawing angle. How do they blow off the evil heel boss being 'killed' on TV? He faked his own death? Ok and then what? Every good story has a beginning, a middle and an end. They had a beginning which, at the very least, had an awful lot of people wondering where it would lead, I'm not entirely confident they know what to do from there. Dead Crow 370
Pretty worthless Raw this week, made passable only from a cracking promo from Mr. Kennedy. Shame they turned him heel again though. He got a fantastic response from the crowd who were dying for him to push as a babyface. Shame...

Guest SuperKick Kid
I thought Raw was pretty good. I enjoyed all the matches and segments. However, the ending with Steph was VERY LAME. Guest Dave7g
It's a great idea having two 3 hour wrestling shows one night after another, one that will cost a lot of money to see, that has had the least amount of build since December to Dismember, the other, completely free. Raw was back to it's very worst this week, focusing entirely on the McMahon's and very little build to a PAY PER VIEW that is this week! Londrick were great, that match should have been longer, a lot longer. To me that's all that was great, I am so bored of Lashley and Cena, I just don't care. The rest of the show was horrible. From the solemn voices of the commentators pretending that Vince McMahon was dead to the stupidity of an FBI investigator, investigating live on TV, to Cryme Tyme legitimatley taking the piss out of Eddie Guerrero's death with their VIVA LA' SAVINGs. And to top it all off, Stephanie McMahon's return, complete with no heat, and no acting skills. It's rubbish like this that makes me embarrassed to be a fan.
