Guest FreeSpirit
Preview: UK: Sky Sports 3 at 10pm USA: The CW at 8/7c Winds Of Change 15th June 2007 What will the landscape of Friday Night SmackDown be this week after the draft takes place on Raw? Will SmackDown still have the World Heavyweight Champion Edge? Will General Manager Theodore Long still be the man on Friday nights, or will his success lead to him being drafted to another brand? Will Deuce & Domino remain together as the WWE Tag Team Champions, and will Cherry still be by their sides? With so many questions, the only way to get the answers is to tune into Raw this week at its special start time of 1am. Nobody is safe when the draft begins, and Friday nights may never be the same. If the Rated-R Superstar does remain on SmackDown, he has a great task ahead of him as he has been put into a match with Batista at Vengeance: Night of Champions. The match will be Do or Die for the competitors, because if The Animal is unsuccessful, it will be his last chance to take the gold from Edge.[/Quote]

DC 536
Smackdown has only four matches this week? FtV could be a triple-header for this edition.
Guest Slim Jim
The WO spoilers have a 4 way cruiserweight match on the show as well. "Jimmy Wang Yang over Jamie Noble, Daivari and Shannon Moore"
Guest Dave7g
That 10 bell salute is a bit uncalled for, it should be left as a mark of respect for when someone actually dies. Glad the fans booed the crap out of it and aren't buying this whole deal.

Guest Laffy
Tread carefully it is tasteless a statement from the family. In loving memory of Vincent Kenedy Mcmahon on wwe.com. A flag at half mast its making a mockery of Eddies death, Owens death and many others who deserve the 10 bell salute and the condonances (SP) sucks and to think ten months of this. I have no problem with the killing off of the Mr McMahon character, but then I view the storylines as more of a soap opera rather than real life happenings, my only problem is when reality and kayfabe become blurred, for example the half mast on Corporate Offices
Guest Slim Jim
Also the bell salute, which really should only be reserved for an actual death, which is why the crowd crapped on it. It was wrong when they did it in 1999 with Big Show's father to get over the Bossman feud, and it's wrong now.
Guest Wolverine
Pssh, only a ten-bell salute? I'm disappointed. I want Vince tribute videos with Tell Me A Lie in the background, I want wrestlers to start crying while talking about how great a man he was, I want the ECW title retired in his honour and most of all I want a completely over-the-top funeral. Can't wait for Hardy vs. Regal.
Guest Jung
I'm surprised they didn't dust off "Hurt" again today, and have the likes of Bischoff saying "even though he hired me just so he could humiliate me, he was still like a brother to me" or Bret Hart saying "its just as bad as when Stu died". Considering this has got to last 10 months, they should be a little more subtle with it, they don't want to get X-Pac heat for this thing. Guest Steve O
At Raw next week Vince should just strut to the ring and get on the mic and be like "Man that was hot!"
Guest Chriscare
I'm sure i remember a few years back when they got rid of the Paul Bearer character, that they weren't allowed to kill people off on the show, so they had to make out that he'll just be out of action forever
BRM 220
Yeah, glad the salute got crapped on.
Guest The Great Ahmar
Yeah, glad the salute got crapped on. It plays into WWE's hands sort of. Vince was a heel, so there showing disrespect to his memory.
Guest Slim Jim
I think that's what they expected (they wouldn't have done it twice to the same crowd otherwise) and wanted. It's becoming more clear that they are going to have him "come back to life" somewhere along the line.

Glad the fans booed the crap out of it and aren't buying this whole deal. Well what the hell did they think a Philly crowd was going to do? Maybe turn their collective backs to the ring and refuse to watch the show?
Guest FreeSpirit
Normally I love watching SmackDown as its a great start to my weekend, but I got so annoyed watching it last night, as I feel they should save Tribute Shows for when someone really dies. Some good matches last night, ruined by the constant sit down promos paying their 'respects' to Mr McMahon.
Guest Jimmy Redman
Yeah, the way they're treating it in regards to that is just disgusting, I'm glad the crowds are crapping on it. I cant stand it.
Guest Kanenite
I've been watching Smackdown this morning and it's been a decent show aside from the Mcmahon death angle. I really hope this doesn't continue, it's so boring to watch a show totally dominated by it, added up I bet there was about 40 minutes of the 2 hour timeslot dedicated to the angle. wyndorf 389
Regal vs Hardy :groov Awesome stuff. Regal's Mr McMahon promo was glorious. "I remember when he made me kiss his bum, he had such a wonderful bum" (something along those lines) GOLD! And..... What was up with Regal's hair? :lol I'm still not against the Death storyline, I'm actually interested to see where it's heading. Sure, it could turn out sucky, but there is a chance it'll be very entertaining.
Guest Slim Jim
The sit down comments were brilliant, of course Regal's being the best.
Guest The Great Ahmar
Hardy V Regal was really, really good. MVP/Batista was ok, Flair V Edge was pretty good too. The 4 way and the Tag Team I didn't think were good, but still both were decent. Pretty good Smackdown, but too much Vince.
TPIB 62
I'll try to keep my post short and sweet, as I tend to ramble. Anyways, I think Matt/Regal stole the show, in my opinion. I realize that he wasn't needed there, seeing as it was going to be a genuine match with no interference, but where was Dave Taylor? To give credit to the superstars, they're doing a good job of selling the death angle (again, namely Regal). One has to believe that WWE are letting them do their own speeches, as they don't seem like someone wrote them. I think the top of the show with all (or most) of the SmackDown! Superstars standing in the entrance was a good idea, if you want to sell an angle, you have to go all out. That's what WWE is doing with the 10 bell salute and everything. On a different topic, Cole saying that Edge is an "opportunist" or an "ultimate opportunist" is getting old. I know he's more than likely instructed to say it, but enough is enough. I'm slowly starting to hate Cole more than JBL (and more than I did before). I understand that Cole is helping JBL along by throwing him those "softballs" about analyzing moves and everything, but it just comes across really bad. Not to say that JBL doesn't reitterate and get on my nerves, he pretty much does it on a weekly basis. Something I forgot to note last week is that I actually agree with JBL when he asks Cole why it's disrespectful when Chavo does the Three Amigos, but it's paying homage when Benoit does it. It's a good point/argument, I mean Chavo is Eddie's nephew. I know that Chavo is the heel and Cole is suppost to be anti-Chavo, but still. It doesn't make sense at all. There's a possibility in my mind that London could turn heel on Kendrick in the near future (pending they don't get drafted apart). London already has the heel look down with his beard (it almost seems like he doesn't care to look good for TV or anything). Granted, if London & Kendrick split up, I can't really visualize them being successful as singles stars on any brand, honestly. Finally, yes, I realize I ended up droning on and on.
