Guest FreeSpirit
Preview: USA: Tuesday 5th June on Sci Fi at 10/9c-LIVE UK: Friday 8th June on Sky Sports 3 at 12am Legend In Jeopardy 5th June 2007 The last ECW was the beginning of a mission for Randy Orton. The Legend Killer plowed through Tommy Dreamer in the main event, then made clear that Rob Van Dam is next on his list. Orton didn't receive his nickname without reason. Will ECW's legend, carried by the ECW Originals, join his past victims? Earlier that night, CM Punk was left to face Elijah Burke on his own when Rob Van Dam was ruled too injured to compete. That didn’t mean Marcus Cor Von had to miss the action. Since everything goes in a No Disqualification Match, Cor Von helped his leader get the better of the Straightedge Superstar. When all was said and done, Punk lay battered on a bed of table rubble. Who will emerge victorious in the Six-Man Tag Team Tables Match? Will there be another chapter in one of ECW’s most heated rivalries? Also, ECW World Champion Mr. McMahon and Bobby Lashley weighed in on their One Night Stand match. Lashley promised to bring the gold back to his waist, but the Chairman has been successful in preventing that thus far. Will Lashley have finally reclaimed the gold in his Street Fight, or will Mr. McMahon laugh last?[/Quote] ECW is at Midnight again this week, immediately after Thursday's encore showing of Raw :xyx
Guest Craig
Dr. McMahon is sitting in a rocking chair. Awesome. If this doesn't get them a 5.8 in ratings then I don't know what will.
TPIB 62
Guess who's back? I got my computer back from the shop today. Try not to do too much celebrating. Anyways, on to ECW, I thought ECW was okay this week, even though it had kind of a SNME feel to it, starting with the main event first. For those who are unaware, this week's ECW is/was the 50'th Episode of ECW on Sci-Fi (June 13'th will be the one year anniversary of ECW's debut on Sci-Fi and the one year anniversary of the new ECW). Thank God, no Snitsky this week. If we're lucky, Snitsky's push is done. Thorn seems like a better investment, in my opinion. Also, why was Tony Chimel the ring announcer? Hardcore Handicap Match- It's not surprising to me that Lashley retained, but it was still a decent match, overall. I rather enjoyed Dreamer's imitation of the Dudleyz ("Sandman, Get The Tables!"). I am enjoying this mental distress of McMahon, it's entertaining. Thorn/Stevie- I wish WWE would make up their mind. Is he Stevie or Steven Richards? They refer to him as Stevie, but his nameplate always says Steven. To me, he's Stevie. In my mind he hasn't been Steven since the RTC angle. On the other end, I like Thorn's look and gimmick. New Breed/Major Brothers- When you see Cor Von in action, you can't argue with his desire to be in the main event picture in WWE. Maybe the draft will grant him that oppurtunity. To be fair, Burke isn't lacking in in-ring skills to say the least. Punk/Striker- A good match, in my view. Striker is doing well for himself, if you ask me, considering he was a Heat jobber before coming to ECW. I thought it was awesome when Punk yelled "Go To School" and then kicked Striker. I think having this match on last on the show maybe a sign that this may be Punk's last ECW match before being drafted to RAW. ECW Overall- 6.5/
Guest Twig
Why would a vampire need a resthold? WOuldn't it be more rejuvinative to just bite Big Stevie Cool's neck or something?

Guest The Great Ahmar
I thought that was a pretty good ECW really. Eljah and Cor Von are a great Team and Punk winning in the Main Event is cool.
TPIB 62
In storyline terms, Striker losing to Punk may see him ousted out of the group.
Guest Steve O
It is good to see Striker getting pushed more he is a very good talent.
Guest Dave7g
This is Matt Striker, the school teacher? Are you sure now?
Guest Steve O
Yeah he can talk well can wrestle too dont see much wrong with that!
Guest Dave7g
That's debatable. Maybe if he dropped the STUPID gimmick he could improve in my eyes. He's a wrestler, he's not a teacher in a school.
Guest Steve O
Well the Undertaker isnt a deadman but he is a wrestler!
Guest Dave7g
You are comparing Striker with the Undertaker? The Undertaker hasn't pretended to be an actual Undertaker since 1992, he's just a dark character now, it's just a name. Striker just looks so stupid. He's a wrestler, he's not a teacher in a school. It is one of the most believable gimmicks in wrestling, seeing as he was a legit school teacher up until just before he was signed by WWE. Striker is gold when he is allowed to do what he can do. If you can track some of the work he did for ROH and 3PW, that should impress you. Guest Dave7g
Yeah but he's not a teacher now, so what the frig is he carrying a blackboard around for? It's just so annoying. Are you sure you aren't confusing him with the other Matt Stryker?
Guest Steve O
Are you sure you know what you are talking about? Or are you just blind to talent e.g. Cena and Striker!

Guest Slim Jim
1. You did use the word blind. 2. He's doesn't really get much heat. 3. His wrestling is pretty bland. I enjoy his promos, but I can see why people don't.
Guest Dave7g
Wow! What a thrilling explaination, he has x-pac heat, he's just a boring average wrestler. He can talk though. And you did use the word genius.
