Guest FreeSpirit
Preview: UK: Sky Sports 3 at 10pm USA: The CW at 8/7c Changes Abound 8th June 2007 After the shocking announcement of the draft that will take place on Raw in less than two weeks, the Superstars of SmackDown will be jockeying for draft position this weekend at Saturday Night’s Main Event and One Night Stand. One Superstar literally on the edge is Batista, who is hot in pursuit of Edge’s World Heavyweight Championship. The Animal’s hunt will lead him into a steel cage encounter with the Rated-R Superstar at One Night Stand, but before the two can do battle surrounded by the steel, they will face off as The Biggest, Smallest, Strangest and Strongest compete on Saturday night. World Heavyweight Champion Edge will team with United States Champion MVP to take on Chris Benoit & Batista as a precursor to the Extreme Rules pay-per-view. How will this affect their battle on Sunday? Will Edge keep his gold or will The Animal find a way to win? There will be no way out of the match between Mark Henry and Kane as the two behemoths will square off in a Lumberjack Match at One Night Stand. Kane is looking for revenge on Henry for the World’s Strongest Man’s attack on his brother Undertaker, while Henry is looking to annihilate another member of the SmackDown roster. Should Henry conquer Kane, the roster may have more victims for him soon, as the draft will take place in less than two weeks on Raw. Who from SmackDown will be going to another brand? Which Superstars will make SmackDown their new home? And will allegiances hold strong in the wake of the draft?[/Quote]

DC 536
With the exception of the six-man tag, LB and Edge/Benoit, there is nothing on that show to get excited about. It's (appears to have) been a below-average week for WWE on TV.
Guest dpddave
Heres a bit more detail.....hopefully johnnys getting a call up to the main roster- Dark match Johnny Jeter b Sylvan with a spin kick off the top rope. Good match Smackdown Cutting Edge segment with Vince McMahon opened. Vince was still acting crazy. Funny flub by Edge where he mentioned it being Thursday (supposed to say Friday). They announced Edge vs. Batista for the PPV. In the end, Edge gave Vince his belt. Mark Henry b Boogeyman with the world's strongest slam. Post-match saw Henry destroy Little Boogeman with a big splash. Seemed as if they were writing Little Boogeyman out. Vickie Guerrero made the next few matches. Vince was backstage with Vickie, Teddy Long and Kristal. Vince was still acting strange. He put over Vickie, said Kristal was a problem and told Teddy he was watching him Jimmy Yang & Paul London & Brian Kendrick b Chavo Guerrero & Jamie Noble & Daivari when Kidman pinned Chavo Edge b Chris Benoit with a spear. Good back-and-forth match. Benoit came close to winning several times. Jillian and Ashley brawled backstage. As Vince was talking to Matt Hardy, Ashley accidentally spilled coffee on Vince. Vince then suspended Ashley Deuce & Domino b Matt Hardy in a tornado handicap match when Deuce got the pin after a running kick to the face Batista b MVP via DQ when Edge interfereed and speared Batista Before ECW started, there was a dark match involving William Regal. Not sure who his opponent was due to the bad sound system After ECW, Batista b Edge via DQ for a low blow in a short match

Considering it was really Tuesday, you wonder what Edge was thinking about. Maybe he hasn't watched the show while he was on RAW and still thought it was Thursday Night Smackdown. Jimmy Yang & Paul London & Brian Kendrick b Chavo Guerrero & Jamie Noble & Daivari when Kidman pinned ChavoIs there something we should know about? Or did you just do an "Edge"? And obviously Kendrick pinned Chavo. Good match that was too. And MVP just rules.

Yes Dave but WWE storylines dont revolve around you and the fact that you were watching wrestling when it had its boom the first time round in the Eighties :xyx
Guest Jung
Yes Dave but WWE storylines dont revolve around you and the fact that you were watching wrestling when it had its boom the first time round in the Eighties :xyx To be fair he has got a point. Vince does do the crazy over powered owner thing about twice a year, and its getting incredibly stale. To be honest the whole "megalomaniac GM/owner thing" is ridiculously stale, it seems virtually every main event feud of the past 8 years or so has to have it involved somehow. I dont think it is stale...I love Vince in his heel role and always have... To be honest I find the whole Undertaker act terribly stale, but others love it.... Hasnt wrestling always been about repetition?
Guest Slim Jim
Basic wrestling storyline is man hate man, make people watching want man to fight man. Repeat that. Crazy heel boss is good once in a while. Vince has done it pretty much non stop for 10 years, just getting more unrealistically crazy.
