Guest FreeSpirit
OK folks, this is the doom and gloom thread. Simply put which three teams will get relegated from the Premiership next season in your opinion? I know everyone is gushing about how well Roy Keane has done in management, but I still think Sunderland will adopt their usual win the Championship one season, get relegated the next stance, while Wigan and Derby will go the same way as well. What about you, who do you think is likely for the Premiership chop come the end of next season?
Guest Danny Styles
Sunderland, Derby and Middlesborough. Keane isn't ready and Sunderland don't have a strong enough team Derby aren't strong enough either (saying that they could pull a Reading) Boro are just rubbish really Southgate isn't a good manager and unless they buy VERY well in the summer window i can't see them staying up

Guest Wolverine
Far too early to say really, but right at the moment I'd guess Derby, Wigan and Birmingham.

Guest Citizen Kane
Wow, Villa. Interesting one. I've got them down to get into Europe.
Guest Gooneronastick
Always seems as though one you think would be safe has a bad start and get into relegation troubles. My pick for that one is Villa next season (re: Charlton Athletic this season)

Guest Citizen Kane
In terms of surprises I'd go for Reading or Bolton. Reading really overachieved this year, and just like Wigan I can see them having a really tough second season. Be interesting to see how Bolton do without Allardyce aswell, I doubt Sammy Lee can do what Big Sam did in the transfer market, or onthe pitch for that matter. Guest Walshy
Wigan Derby County (Davies said they weren't ready for the Premiership earlier in the season, I'll take his word) Middlesborogh

Guest Jung
Wigan, Bolton and Derby for me. Although I would not be surprised to see Sunderland, Fulham, Man City, Boro, Reading, Birmingham down there. I picked those 3 though because Bolton and Wigan have new managers, neither of whom are actual managers. Sammy Lee has a very tough act to follow and I just have a feeling they could have a bad start and get worse. Chris Hutchings had a glittering record at Bradford and they've released their best defender, just can't see the strikers getting enough goals either. Derby unlike the other 2 promoted sides, don't have much money, and will probably be similar to Watford. Well organised but lacking in creativity and something special up top. And Giles Barnes will be there Ashley Young.
Guest Moobs
18. Fulham 19. Middlesbrough 20. Sunderland
Guest The Crippler
I think Sunderland will be absolutely fine and it wouldn't surprise me if they finished above the other North East sides. I think Wigan will have a job staying up. Their new manager smacks of "good coach/crap manager". Didn't work out for him when he replaced Bradford and it won't surprise me at all if it doesn't work out at Wigan. Can also see Bolton struggling this year and perhaps Reading. Second season is always vital for a new club to the Premiership. They've also lost a really top player in Sidwell. I will go with Derby, Wigan and Birmingham to go down. It is difficult to say at this stage because the vast majority of transfer work is still to be done.
Guest JC
Derby, Birmingham & Wigan. Keane will keep Sunderland up or heads will roll.
Guest Jung
Unfortunately its really all about money. Look at last season. Bar Charlton, the other 2 teams didnt have money to spend on fees or wages, thus spent very little. Thus unfortunately for the teams like Derby, its going to be a long hard season. Guest Nicole
If Birmingham don't flash the cash, we'll go back down unless our young players pull it together. Saying that, our championship squad did manage to beat Newcastle 5-1 so maybe we have a chance :D Derby will probably go down, and maybe Fulham or Sunderland. Keano might have been a great championship manager, but the gulf between the championship and premiership is basically massive.
Guest Jung
You did stick 5 past Newcastle's backline though. A defence so leaky not even a family of plumbers could sort that out.
Guest Nicole
Thats true. There defence was bloody awful, but I'm sure Big Sams on the case of that now.
