Guest Taki
Fraud hmm never happen to me I'm safe! Yeah right think again, in the past month both me and my best friend have been done over, her through her bank me through a catalogue, but mine happened last year and now I'm finding out about it. Anyone ever been a victim of fraud, cos I found out today that I am, some bitch has only gone and used my name to obtain a catalogue and run up shedloads of bills then not pay them. It hurts that someone could be that mean, opening bills is never fun but when its a creditors letter saying if you dont pay in 7 days its going to court its nasty. Especially when you know its not your bill. What do you do ring the police yeah right about as much help as a blind navigator, I rang the company turns out my saving grace was she got my date of birth wrong. So this collections company though I'm not quite sure they believed I was who I said I was but not the person who run up the bill gave me the number to ring the catalogue which I did. I now have to prove to them that I wasnt living at the address where the debt was accumulated at that time, which is gonna be hard who saves bills from a year ago. So ok the police do finally turn up, after I've played detective myself and found out most of what I wanted to know anyway. They are going to find out some info and get back to me. GET BACK TO ME I WANT IT SORTED AND NOW. Through my own skills I find out that this girl is a long time nemesis of mine she had a habit of being a class A bitch in school, she broke my jaw slagged me off you know normal kids stuff but this well this time shes gonna pay a little harder than the others, the police know her and will be having words with her tonight. What would you do? It's taking me all my time to stop myself going up to harford and rip her *NAUGHTY* head off I'm not the calmest of people even when I'm not pissed off now I'm raving I'm less than nice to be around I dont even like being in my own company right now. I'm just waiting for more of these letters to come through because if she's been lucky with one what says she aint done more, no suprise now why I cant get credit for *NAUGHTY*. This happened to me all because I moved house and didnt get my mail redirected to my new address, amazing how you can get *NAUGHTY* over so many ways, and dont trust credit file companys to get it right I only just had my credit file sent to me and it didnt even show on there that she'd applied. This will screw my credit rating up even more than it already is ah well satisfaction will come when I smack the bitch in the mouth. Rant Over Thanks For Listening. Oh and by the way nice to see my birthday gets missed out on here I was only away for a little while and I get forgotten. xXx
Fletch 204
Me and Viks were gonna be done for fraud by the Letting Agents for the last house, they said we'd created an account in the landlords name for the electric in November. Not only was there no record of this phonecall on any phonebills, but Scottish Power would have needed to ask Security questions and take down personal details etc and would be breaking their own DPA by doing it. It was taking the persistance really Bills are never fun to pay Ive found, which is why I only keep a simple cash point card and pay for everything with cash. Guest MrFill
The people I'm staying with had someone break into their online banking (don't ask how), and try to transfer several thousand pounds to their account - luckily they logged in to check something and spotted it, so it was caught quickly, which means the money was saved. Stupid HSBC have taken ages to re-do the security codes and such, still not getting it right.
K.J 71
My missus got stitched up at Christmas when she bought me a PSP from a website called mydv.co.uk, they were pretending to be a British company but were operating from the US, and sending people Japanese spec stuff. I managed to get my money back from the card company in the end. Check the forums on thi website out, http://www.matrixwatch.org for advice on fraud etc.

Guest Popsi
I had my ebay accont hacked and they put up over a 100 HDTVs in my name. Annoyed me no end that did. On Christmas day as well, thankfully i checked me emails that evening and ebay were very quick to act so full credit to them. Scumbags though fraudsters

Guest Christof
The only time I've ever had a "bad" transaction was in december 2003. I was right on my CCard credit limit at it was Xmas. My online account showed that some flights had gone through, taking me over my limit. Lloyds sorted it out ASAP. Never had any trouble but Taki one thing I would advise is keeping documentation for at least 3 years. It may seem like a bug bear but it will help you in the long run. I've got bank statements going back to 2001, I need to cut back but it is a good reference for anything irregular.

Guest Taki
Keeping stuff is all well and good and I know I should but I've moved twice in the last year so pretty much everything thats not needed gets thrown out due to me wanting to have to pack less and sort less stuff out when I get to the new house. Still haven't heard anything back from the police by the way! xXx

Its a sad reflection on the state of today's society that people are willing, able and ready to stoop so low, to earn an easy buck.

You must have broken several mirrors, seen an entire flock of black cats cross your path and break pretty much every bad luck taboo, in a previous life or something......
