New Gimmick Matches

Ok in the interview on this board with AJ he said the Ultimate X has been used to death in TNA and some of the gimmick matches in wwe are being used to death.

 

 

Any ideas on any new gimmick matches that can be had by any organization??

 

I always liked the idea of the double cage. Cell over a cage it just interests me to see how it would happen minus the dogs that pi** over the floor.

A "Can Only Win By Count-Out Match".....that could be interesting, with finishers being hit on the floor and that......

I know it's not new, but I'd love to see WWE do a Wargames double cage match.

 

My absolute dream gimmick match (that will never ever happen) would be to mix the Elimination Chamber with the concept of a battle royal. Instead of only having six guys, I think there could be external doors (outside the chamber itself) feeding into each plexiglass chamber, so that another guy can occupy a chamber when it's vacated by it's origional occupant. for example.

 

 

Cena, Kane, Show, Masters start in the chambers - HBK and Edge start the match, HBK pins Edge (a random chamber is opened as soon as an elimination occurs) it's Masters in the match to replace Edge. Now Masters' chamber is empty so in comes Triple H and so forth.

Nice idea, but with people breaking the "bullet-proof glass", you wouldn't be held in the chamber if the door/side is broken.

Id love to see the war games in wwe. The elimation chamber is good but if you could have a team one it would be great.

 

 

How about a HIAC but with ladder stipulations where the belt hangs above the cell?

It's so hard to think of new gimmick matches. I like the idea of the Elimination Chamber match and like others the double cage Wargames match would be awesome.

 

Edit: I just sat here and thought about new matches but can't get the idea of Tables, Ladders and Chairs out of my head.

What they did was you got a pin or submission and then returned to the ring. If your opponent couldn't then beat the 10 count you won.

 

So like what you said the stip was "Can only win by count out".

One I've heard of that I think was in WCW is a double ring match I think it's supposed to be like a Survivor Series match (a gimmick that should come back) but with even more people.

Yeah WCW used to do 3 ring s tooo, World War 3 they had a 60 man 3 ring match.

I think an Exploding Barbed-Wire Ladder, Electrified Title on a Pole match could be interesting. After saaaaaaaaaay 15 minutes the ladder explodes in half, and you'll have to find some other way up the pole. Even when you do grab the title, you'll be electricuted (sp?) and have to sell that with lots of good ol' fashioned twitching.

Uhmm I'm pretty sure WWE have done 3 or more TLC's mate.

 

The 1st one at Summer Slam 00', the 2nd one at Wrestle Mania 17 and I really don't know when the the 3rd one was exactly but I do remember (If my memory serves me well) that they did a TLC match on RAW in 02' where Kane won it.

Damn! it's overused already! :P Nah on a serious note; I didn't know they had done more...must have been when I wasn't watching. I love TLC and wouldn't mind seeing one in a ppv this year some time.

gimmick match and title

 

What about a veterans title. Sort of like how they do in Tennis and golf. Only open to those HoF's and those in WWE over 40. This would be as a result of the heat all the old stars get when they come back for odd mtches like Jake the Snake, Roddy Piper, Rick Flair or The King could hold the belt and about 1 per month have a match.
