Matt Striker - Fan or not?

from what i've seen of striker in ROH he impressed me. i've not seen enough of him on raw or heat but his promo's are ok at the moment.

 

can he do a good job on raw?

From what I've seen of his matches, he's adequate but he has a lot of room for improvement. He hasn't developed a particular match style yet. The gimmick is a little ridiculous frankly but at least he's willing to try and make it work. I just don't think he's getting a great reaction from the live crowds. At Backlash last night I felt he killed the crowd before the main event. I can't see him doing much on RAW apart from jobbing to a few under-card wrestlers. Maybe he'd have more use over on SD!'s cruiserweight division.

I like him.

 

He's a good talker and fits the gimmick well and from the little i've seen of him in the ring he is decent enough.

 

At least he adds something to the basically non-excistent mid-card on RAW whichs helps balance the roster out.

Right now he annoys me, I find his Mic skills below parr, and he is irritating, mind you, I said HHH was irritating a few years ago and now He's one of my all time faves so who knows.....maybe striker will be a huge hit soon, but I doubt it.

I like him a lot. I like the Striker's Classroom segment and always find Striker plays the character well and gets the appropriate heat from it. I'm actually glad he's getting more exposure now than before when he was just stuck on Heat. Good promos too in my opinion and always great for a bit of comedy when he insults the crowd in such a way. Edited May 1, 2006 by rawiswar

Matt Striker is absolutely hilarious, I really hope he gets a huge push over the coming months as I feel he could take this 'I am Matt Striker, and I am YOUR teacher' gimmick far.

I am not a fan. In the ring he seems nothing special, but the problem with me are his promos. They are at the annoying stage. If i've recorded the show, it earns the fast forward button, and if it's live, it earns the earplugs and 50 cent job...

I like him, I think there is alot of 'serious' guys in WWE, people who are too much 'i'm gonna kick your ass' etc and there is also needed comedy relife which is where Striker comes in, he is a little comedy style charecter, not to be taken serious really, like Simon Dean (my fave wrestler on SD :D)

Striker has stepped up his game recently and I think he has a pretty nifty based on life gimmick that normally works, so hopeufully he'll have some success.

well for a guy who's been on Raw for all of half a month he's got good heel heat, he can talk and he's funny doing the teacher gimmick

It's not so much a case of him all of a sudden stepping his game up, I think he has always had it stepped up but has had no exposure on the main show - RAW, only on Heat and WWE.com unfortunately. Check out his WWE.com page he has been doing this good stuff for months.

 

I'm glad now though they are building him up on RAW and I think his character and segments are great.

I love Matt Stryker, he's promos are excellent IMO. It's just the way he puts them across, you feel like he's saying it for real and not just reading them from a script.

 

Obviously his strong point is his promo ability. I've not seen too much of him in-ring wise but from what I've seen he's not bad nor great, he's just normal and this is the WWE so he won't have a problem regarding his in-ring ability.

im a huge fan. i followed him in ROH and i thought his matches with kurt were awesome!!!

 

 

He has great heat and an easy gimmick to get heat from. His in ring work is good as are his mic skills HOOOORAH for teachers.

 

It would be great for someone to give him a rub in one of his segments like ausitn did with simon dean last year
