Yup. Pretty much. There are now loads of signs at events that just say 'May 19th' now. Way to go WWE.

 

Of course this could backfire on them and instead of people going to see 'See No Evil' they might see the date and think 'The Da Vinci Code'! Which reminds me tell everyone that they are dumbasses for releasing 'See No Evil' the same day as the 'Da Vinci Code'

Well if continuity has any play in it (so this is probably a shot in the dark), it's all about the eyes.

 

Kane's movie is about pulling people's eyes out.

He tried to pull out Big Show's eye.

When he first came to WWE (I watched his Raw debut yesterday), he only had one eye thanks to the Undertaker. I'm guessing thanks to the wonders of laser eye surgery, this got fixed.

 

So I'm guessing May 19th is the day he was burned and lost his eye... which he now has...

You forget that Kane has SUPER~! regeneration abilities.

 

When he first arrived he couldn't speak, he was horribly burned and didn't have an eye.

 

Then the eye grew back - a miracle in itself.

But wait, we discover that he CAN speak - even after using the buzzer, and then him being gravelly, he speaks normally now - another miracle.

What? The burns aren't there? His skin has repaired itself.

 

You see, we could chop Kane into little iddy biddy bits and he'd just pull himself back together, so it doesn't matter what happens in the ring, he'll always recover!

 

Maybe May 19th is the date that he first got these amazing powers, and he's worried that he'll lose them on exactly the same date.

The illogoical thing is that Kane has been on the roster (as Kane at least) since October of 1997, so there have been eight "May 19ths" in that time...so why now?

 

It can't really be anything to do with the movie, that would be too obvious......maybe that was when he was first asked to convert to McMahonism.......

You're forgetting that WWE, rather lamely, explained all of this by saying Kane's injuries and scars were "emotional" and that he only "imagined" them during those years. Lame I know, but they did attempt to sweep the mess under the carpet somewhat.
