Ryan 188
--Jim Ross will be lead announcer for tonight's Backlash PPV, in the place of Joey Styles. The internal decision has been finalized for Ross to take over as lead announcer on Raw, either tomorrow, or within a few weeks Meltzer~ Looks like Styles will be doing ECW, it'll be good to have JR back :)
Guest Dickie Hyde
That's a shame, I really enjoyed Style's work on RAW.
Guest Anime Otaku
Wonder who the other ECW announcer will be then? WillTazz also be replaced over on SD! and moved to ECW? Not thrilled to see J.R back though :(
Guest porridge
Wooooooooooooooooooooo!!! Business just picked up! Good ol' JR's back to call some slobberknockers. He's gone through hell, fire and brimstone to get here but by gawd what does this mean for Styles? I feel sorry for the guy. From what I've read he's been doing his best but in my opinion has been under too much pressure and scrutiny. Hopefully he'll be the voice of ECW again
DC 536
Wonder who the other ECW announcer will be then? WillTazz also be replaced over on SD! and moved to ECW? Not thrilled to see J.R back though :(Maybe they'll let him call it on his own again.....or maybe (and hopefully) they'll get Gertner back and get the TNN dream-team back together again..... Or maybe Cyrus.
Guest Twig
I think it's obvious what's next for Styles, and that's ECW. I just hope they don't keep trying to get him to call matches in the WWE style. I suppose JR will be welcomed back, but I'm a Joey mark... f-f-f-f-f-fo life! Guest Nemesis Enforcer
God no not JR back again, I hate the guy and when he is with King they just get worse, they are stale and old and its time that WWE got rid of both and replaced them with a more dynamic pair! Ryan 188
with a more dynamic pair! There isnt a better pair than JR & The King :) King should turn heel though.

I'm sure with WWE cash they could find 2 people who are way better then those 2, I actually liked Cyrus and Joey in ECW alot more then King and J.R! Guest MrFill
There isnt a better pair than JR & The King :) Heyman and JR? King is stale now, and only has one trick left - PUPPIES~!
Guest Smacketh Down
Haha yes! Honestly, Styles really does suck as lead announcer on RAW. Okay, at first his ECW style was semi-working but WWE doesn't want this trash-talk on their show so they ask Styles for the storyline approach. And now, it is clear Styles can not announce the way WWE wants it, and really, it is very clear Styles will never be no way near the level of good ol' J.R! Who cares if the guy is being so called 'coached' by J.R. Styles has not got the voice for dominant play-by-play announcer! This is suburb news, J.R back where he belongs quite frankly. Styles couldn't cut it I'm afraid. Edited May 1, 2006 by Smacketh Down

ViciousPrism 177
King, back in around 1995 or so had the trick of insulting random people, but most often, he would insult Jake Roberts
Guest MrFill
King USED to be fairly good on commentary, but he's gotten stale. The habit that JR & King have of wandering away from the match to discuss something else gets annoying. Why can't they just concentrate on what the fans are seeing, rather than discussing an upcoming match? Yes, it's hype, but it detracts from the current match, thus devaluing it and making the Main Event seem more important than anything else on the show. Guest Slim Jim
Watch Heat for my new favourite team of Joey Styles and Todd Grisham. They play of each other surprisingly well for a first go together.
Guest The Great Ahmar
I like Styles and JR, maybe have Styles go the Smackdown and kick out Michael Cole that S***head.

Guest Down In Albion
JR is replacing Joey Styles, great. :roll Didn't last night at Backlash JR call a move in the RVD/Shelton match a "5 star DDT"? :D Oh it's great to have him back.
Guest Al Stevens
Personally i wouldnt believe what you read on the internet cause didnt the WO say regarding the Orton Rey match there would be some SFX to go in the match and there wasnt and didnt he also state there could be some SFX in the HBK McMahons match (And dont come out with the Bull crap light thing either) So personally i think it's aload of Crap myself! Guest DOB
^^^ Well he can't get everything right. I think Styles will play some part on RAW,what they need to do is get rid of Coach and use him as a heel manager and then have the announce team as Styles-JR-King.The 3 of them would work so much better. Guest rawiswar
I will be happy seeing JR on RAW again if this is true. Styles has been okay but he just doesn't have the flair that JR has. King used to be good during the Attitude era in my opinion when he and JR always used to argue, King as of late though seems to be lost for words at times, I think they need to possibly make him a gimmick heel commentator again. But times are different now and we have The Coach. Edited May 1, 2006 by rawiswar
