DC 536
They have to have "God" as a physical entity, and not some crappy pyro and smoke...... I came up with a shortlist of who would work in the role against McMahon. Now I'm not claiming any of these to be like a god, but they are the main guys I would say get the best reaction from the crowd and Vince...... 1) The Rock 2) Austin 3) Bischoff. Guest Kanenite
Backlash looks good on paper, I hope it delivers. When I saw RVD vs Shelton a week ago at a UK house show that was a really decent match so i'm imaging their going to step it up even more at a PPV. The triple threat i'm hoping crowns a new champion but don't think it will, but I want to be surprised aswell.

Guest porridge
PMSL at the Vince/Shane backstage skit. :lol Looks like Trish suffered a real injury when she fell from the turnbuckle. She looked in real pain (somehow I'm quite good at spotting this) and the Ref gave the 'X' sign. The finish seemed strange too. But the match should have gone on longer, make use of that higher threshold of pain that women have. :lol I'm watching God's entrance. Yes, God's entrance. And he's starting to jive. I can't believe what my eyes are seeing. Nurse!!!!!!! :help Edited May 1, 2006 by porridge

Guest Smacketh Down
Backlash = Poor Backlash was one of the worst PPVs I've seen in my opinion. With ridiculous segments such as McMahon picking up fish and throwing bread, then Kane hearing voices, then God making his so called appearance and McMahon generally acting foolish. And Candice the ex porn star turned diva has some kind of orgasmic fit at the hands of McMahon? Riiight, so the guy has powers right? People are supposed to believe that yes? This product must be for 4 years olds, am I correct? Is this the product that you so seriously discusss and supposedly love...? Well well, I've seen it all now. I think the only good thing was the Striker classroom segment. The main event was okay... Very poor PPV overall with hardly anything to it. Poor poor and poor. Give me any single PPV from 98/99 over that any day. The above is my opinion.

Guest SuperKick Kid
Induct this PPV into the Wrestlecrap Hall of Fame Backlash 2006 :tdown and the McMahons vs HBK fued continues. :evil Edited May 1, 2006 by SuperKick Kid
Guest Telf
Here's the Telf's critique of the PPV whilst it's fresh in my memory Carlito vs Masters - a poor opener with a few botched spots, most notably Masters leaving his shoulders on the mat for too long. I thought both took a big step back in this one. Nice to see Maria was watching the monitor backstage and managed to get the winner wrong :roll Umaga vs Flair - rubbish finisher. I don't care what they try and make the dreaded thumb. If i cheeky poke to the throat is gonna finish off a 16 time world champion in Ric Flair, who by the way is looking towards a 17th reign, then i fancy my chances with taking the Nature Boy down with a nipple twist. Ultimately, Umaga looks very strong but let's face it, he'll never get anywhere near the top Mickie vs Trish - fair enough, Trish blew out her shoulder after that fall from the top, so the i assume the DQ finish wasn't planned, but they could have made a whole lot more of it. But then what happens, after the bell rings Trish is back on her feet as if nothing happens! Shelton vs RVD - why anyone would think this would be the match of the night is beyond me. I saw Benjamin and Van Dam work each other at the Nottingham house show last Saturday and that was full of blown spots. This match was terribly worked with the only decent point being Sheltons counter from the rolling thunder into the samoan drop. I don't agree that Benjamin should have lost the title - RVD going over via countout or DQ would have sufficed Kane vs Big Show - Hate this whole May 19th storyline. Match was crap and the no contest finish didn't help Vince/Shane vs HBK - Finally this PPV starts to pick up. We see the usual comedic Vince at the start prancing around and making fun of HBK's "tag team partner". I wondered what the hell Shawn was doing diving to the outside. Great finish with the whole 5 man throw thing through the table leading the result i predicted Triple Threat - Match of the night without any doubt, and boy did Hunter spill some blood. I really enjoyed the opening of the match with Edge slumming off to the outside then get hammered by The Game and Cena. I had no idea who would come out with the strap this time but i would have put my money on Cena if i had to. Another sneeky victory. HHH keeps up the tweener like character with multiple bashing of skulls with Mr Sledgie Overall a poor show that was saved my the main event and somewhat by the handicap match
Guest SuperKick Kid
For once I'm glad Triple H had Mr. Sledgy. Telf, change me from Loathe to Love for Triple H. IMO Triple H saved the PPV by nailing everyone with the hammer. Triple H and HBK reform DX tomarrow night to take down McMahon and Cena
Guest Smacketh Down
I'm glad Cena won, now it's going to be great seeing all the little bitches moaning about Cena retaining. Let's get one thing straight. WWE don't care about you or you wanting someone else as champ. Cena makes them more money, they care about the dollar, not you. Let's get it through to the people who constantly cry about Cena's long title reign. WWE want him to stay champ, Cena as champ = More money for WWE. Got that? Good... Now stop crying please. Guest SuperKick Kid
I am glad Cena won as well, although for my prediction's sake, I wanted Edge to win.
Guest DOB
I have seen it,and i can not believe it,Cena is still champ what a fu****g joke, the game should have won. Either Cena turns tomorrow night or D-X reforms, if either doesn't happen i will be very very disappointed.

Cena as champ = more money for WWE, merchandise etc. There's gonna be no DX re-union okay? DX is long gone, Trips is doing it to get the crowd on his side and both Shawn and Trips are doing it to get people wondering if it's coming back, and it won't be, WWE is not the time or place for a DX re-union now days. Guest yoyo
You know what? I thought it was an excellent PPV. The only slighty bad match I saw tonight was Kane vs Show. Not because of the May 19th thing but just because the match was slooooowww. The HBK and God vs The Mcmahons was actually pretty good. I found the God entrance funny and not offensive at all. It was a cool spotfest and we really could all use more Holy Spirit Squad in our lives. The triple threat was awesome. WAY better than the WM 22 main event. Showed me that WWE has some awesome workers. Did I want Cena to win? No. But that doesnt matter to me. What matters is that the match was good. And this showed Cena can carry a match.(not that he hasnt showed me before) Overall AWESOME PPV. Edited May 1, 2006 by yoyo
