Guest Dickie Hyde
Something I've been thinking about for sometime. You always here of people going off and living the dream for whatever it may be... A poker player for a year, a football player for a year etc etc, well how about, a wrestling fan for a year?! If you got to a complete point of financial satisfaction, would you ever consider going on the road with the WWE for a year... as a fan. And by that, I simply mean, going to all of the TV tapings, PPV's (with top tickets) and staying in lush hotels. Living on the road for a year... literally. And if your close to home, you can pop back now and again to pick up/sort out things. And even if you wouldn't, dont you think it's a cool idea? I was thinking about it... and was wondering your thoughts, and how expensive you think it would cost if one person was actually considering it? What a year that would be. You might think i'm crazy, but it was a thought I had and wanted to share with you all. :) Cheers, Dickie
Guest rawiswar
I agree, it would be a hell of blast and most probably a very fun time, especially with a group of friends who are also into wrestling. It would be expensive thinking about it though but how great would that be lol! Maybe if someone here in TWO wins a major lottery jackpot then they can treat every TWO member to a full year tour with WWE :P !
Guest Ro_y Disco
It would rule completly and utterly. Especially if you could do it with some mates. So in the world of fantasy, HELL YEAH!!! In reality though: Firstly you've got weekly TV tapings and for arguments sake lets say the old school seperate Raw and SD tapings- so thats 104 a year at a (guessed) £50 a time= 5200 House shows. Two a week? £40= £4160 PPV's 14 of those at £80 avage= 1140 (I think!) 365 days of food and bed= £40 a day on average= £14,600 a year. That comes to a total of (around) £24,920 not including travel and "luxuries". So realistically it'd probably never happen for any of us!!! Murph 93
Not to mention the fact you have to eat and drink... EDIT:// Oh, you got that covered.
Guest Dickie Hyde
I would cut out the house shows, but £5k doesn't really make much difference in this respect! To be comfty... i think you're looking at about £50,000!
Guest MojoPogo
With a bunch of you guys (and gals, and fill!), That would be a total blast! I give you a holla if i win the lottery, cos THATS how much it would cost! Rest assured, id hire one of those big ass tour buses! (after all, its a if money was not object scenario!) TWO on tour! Guest The Beltster
If I could do it from 1987 - 1990 specifically, then yes, it would be awesome! In 2006, I'd prefer not to, as the WWE product is the drizzling shits and isnt worth my time, personally. Guest MrFill
Speaking of the travel, if you was willing to travel for the year, presuming US travel only you could rent an RV. Long term rentals would work out at about $15k or so for the year, which is around £9k. Now, why do this? Firstly it cuts down on your hotel costs, secondly you aren't tied to getting to and from the hotel and arena, thirdly your food costs sink as well since you can shop in places like WalMart and buy in bulk. Although, you'd have to pay for petrol (or diesel), so it'd bring the price up a bit. Since the estimated cost has £14,600 for hotel & food, if you take off the RV instead of the hotel, you'd still have £5k left for food, without even thinking about other travel costs. I know some of you will have thought about where to park it - so, here's a little known fact (apart from to RV owners) - you can park you RV in a WalMart car park at any time you want, and they'll be quite happy about it! So, you've got your transport and living all in one tidy package. How's that for an idea? :)
Guest Kanenite
Personally it would be a real blast and I would have tons of fun, but maybe not a year, there would also be a point where you think hey i've seen that match or hey this house show is the same. So I would love to for a while but not a whole year.

Guest Christof
Of course if you'd only be looking at TV tapings and PPV's then you could also do casual work as and when in the days inbetween
Guest Slim Jim
I'm sure the fun in being a WWE groupie would die out pretty soon, as would your voice.
Guest Twig
I'd prefer to tour with a jam band for a year... and it's much more feasable, as you could make a good living selling burritos in the parking lot, and at campsites.
Guest MartynJ
If i had the money i would proberly do it for a few months with some mates as a nice longish holiday/break, but thats about it because if i had enough money to follow the wwe around for a year and all the costs? well i'd find something more wise and senable to spend the cash on, unless i did win the lotto and then thats a different story
Ryan 188
I'd definatly go, not going on the road with WWE for a whole year would be a serious missed oppertunity, it'd be even better if you had backstage passes for all the shows aswell :lol
Guest Russ
There was a WWF fan who did this in the late 80s if I remember right, called Vladmir. He got a fair amount of press for following around the promotion on all of their tour dates and tapings. They might not have had as many TV shows to film matches for back then, but it still takes a huge commitment to do something like this. Personally, I'd grow sick of it very fast. There's something special about going to see live wrestling from a respectable company (and WWA), it's something I've only done a handful of times in my life. If you're in the arena for every bog standard Smackdown taping, you'd lose a lot of the magic of going to see live wrestling before too long. What makes it worse was she didn't even appreciate it! On the event she said; " I only watched about five minutes of a match, it was rubbish, it's all play acting." Then when talking about backstage; "there was this really tiny spanish looking dude, he looked really funny cos I'm taller then him. And when I asked the promoter why he was backstage he told me he was a wrestler called Ray/Jay or something like that, he was tiny!" Then she went on to say "there was this guy who had really big hair, he looked like an absolute clown!" By this time I had to restrain myself from reaching across the restaurant table and jackknifing her through it. She knows how much I love wrestling so it was like she was taunting me. Then when I asked her about the guy who I suspected to be Carlito she said; "I can't remember all I know is he looked like a clomplete dickhead." I don't know talk about a wasted oppurtunity. Complete freedom backstage and through-out the stadium and that's all she could share. :evil I'm seriously considering dumping the bird. Five years on and off or not. This along with music, film and words is my first love!:P Edited April 26, 2006 by Thirteen

On Topic: It would be hellah cool but 2 things, first it would cost a LOT of money and second, like Russ said, you would loose that special feeling if you went to EVERY TV taping and PPV. Guest Kanenite
I said i would attend just TV tapings and PPVs! Well what else to say? OH HELL YEAH! I'd love to meet the Wrestlers, see backstage at the shows, have an awesome night twice every week. It would be a real blast especially having time in the week aswell. Guest CoTT
I'd go to the PPVs, not the PPV preview shows.
